1987 BMW K-Series

Here you are bidding on a 1987 K75 750 BMW with keys and pink. It has an amazing 1242 original miles! I am selling this for a friend who picked it up recently and decided he had too many bikes already. It has been in storage since 1994 and although we gave it half an effort, it does not run. The battery was bad so we jump started it with starting fluid through the intake. It ran but failed to continue running when it ran out of the ether. It has a fuel injection system and we are not familiar with BMW's so we stopped. I reported my findings to him and he (to my shock) decided to auction it to the highest bidder no reserve starting at .99 cents. I have never ridden a BMW but everyone that has swears by them. They say after you ride one you will be hooked. Seems everything those Austrians do is first class so it stands to reason this bike is no exception. As far as the visual inspection, the blue paint is very nice with some very slight scratching and the seat is perfect. The only exception to this is the left side panel and the faring edge are scratched moderately (see pics). It has never been laid down and looks to have been always garage kept so there is no rust or corrosion to be seen. The tires look very good and the brakes seem to work fine. We checked the lights and other functions and they are all good. It was last registered in 1994 so she only needs a CHP inspection to issue a new title and only pay current registration fees will be due to issue the title and tags. (Correct me if I'm wrong but I dont think you have to pay past registration on a vehicle ten years dormant???) Regardless, we also have the clear California title. I dont know if he had it registered non op.
