Car definitely gets a lot of looks/comments when out.THE "LIFE" of my W8 - or "THIS CARS STORY" Car has been garaged since new (5/2004) I am a non-smoker, and car has never been smoked in! This has not been an “everyday” vehicle to/from work, etc. since 2008, which is why the mileage is still so relatively low. I bought a truck out of necessity in May of 2008, and couldn't bring myself to trade in this W8, so I decided to keep it as a collectible car inside my home garage. Since then, it has been regularly run and meticulously maintained, but not road driven outside of my neighborhood, since it was no longer DMV registered or insured. So basically, the "real" age of this car is 4 years of use. It even still has the registration sticker from May 2008 on the window. I DID have the NY State Inspection updated and passed this week, so a buyer can know it easily will pass your state inspection. The current NY sticker is good until April 2012. ...and Now? - I'm heading overseas, so I've replaced the tires, brakes, rotors, battery - basically getting her up to like-new standards, and would like to find a new home for her, (...So - this is the main reason why she is "Priced to Sell", at a below 'Kelley' and 'Edmunds' market value in the "Buy-it-Now" price)I hate to admit it, but I'm an "old guy" of 50, and a VW fan, so I assure you this car was never “raced” or driven abusively in anyway, as some might be tempted to do with a car this fast... No rust or body damage – Never in an accident, not even a fender-bender. Excellent “Carfax” and “AutoCheck” reports. Loan has been paid off, and I do possess the lien-free NY state vehicle title. This car qualifies for both Carfax and AutoCheck's "Buyback Guarantee Protection" programs for the buyer. W8 engine - I had VWwarranty replace one of the cylinder heads as a precaution, back in early 2005 at around 14K miles, and this engine has been purring, trouble free for me every since, for over 33K miles. My mechanic believes with the condition this vehicle is in, and the low wear & tear she's seen - he 'predicts' this car will run well for 250K miles. Don't know about that, of course, but this is a great car.
