1976 Honda Z50A

It goes without saying that if we can arrange delivery in person, or if you can pick the bike up it will be best all around. Here is a 1976 Honda Z50A minibike. I bought it three years ago, with the intent of making it a daily runner for the grandkids. That did not happen, so it's time to let it go to a new home. I have no idea of the kilometres or miles or hours that the bike has run in total. It will come with a reproduction of the Honda Factory Service Manual. It ran when I bought it, and was sitting with stabilised fuel in the tank, now drained for shipping. I have not attempted to start it. The engine turns over with what seems like good compression. The pictures give a good idea of its overall condition. It could be used as is, once it has been put in running order, or would be a good basis for a cosmetic restoration. At some point it has been over on the left side as the gear shift lever and the left bar are bent. The seat cover will need replacing. Both tyres are well beyond their 'best by' date and will need to be replaced, probably needing new tubes too. If you would like more specific pictures or information, please contact me. The rear light and rear mudguard/fender are non-standard. The fenders/mudguards are in fairly good shape but show surface rust on their undersides. The rear one has been mended at one edge. The tank is rust-free inside and is in pretty good shape outside without major dings. Please read this carefully!! The crate measures 53"x29"x19" and weighs close to 200lbs with the bike in it. If the winner of the auction is close enough I will deliver the bike (no crate) within a 100 mile/160 kilometre radius, for $50. Because of the issues the first time around I have started bidding at a ridiculously low price. There is no reserve or 'buy it now' price on this auction. The bits and pieces alone are probably worth more than the starting price! However, you are buying the bike as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied.
