Vehicle Detail
1967 SS Chevelle 396 4 speed transmission positive traction rear350 HP As you can tell from the photos, this vehicle is a project car. My uncle is the owner (one and original), and has asked me to list this vehicle on Ebay. Vehicle location - near Savannah, GA. Pickup only. Please email with questions! Thanks! Original factor color was yellow with black vinyl hardtop. Repainted forest green. Red color showing presently is primer. Straight bench seat for front (special order at time of purchase). Original radio (speakers need replacing). Never been wrecked or salvaged. No accidents. Rust showing on edge of doors (about 3-4 inches from bottom of doors) and one front fender. Bill of sale and title history will be provided; clear title. Original title burned in house fire; have copy of original title but State of Georgia per title office will not reissue replacement title for car of this vintage (pre-1986). Requesting letter of verification from State of Georgia (Provides verification that a vehicle is not required to be titled.) Here are questions (see below) from our listing last week. Please email with any questions!Question & AnswerAnswered OnQ: Q: how long has car been not used, also does motor run what hp is 4speed in working order ,also rear end gear ratio ,thanks,donFeb-27-11A: Car has been in storage since late 1970s. The motor was last cranked 5 years ago, and worked then. The 4-speed is in good working order. The rear end ratio is a high speed rear.Q: Does this car have a clear title. How long has it been sitting Is the mileage 37XXX or 137XXX How close are you to Pooler, GAFeb-27-11A: RE: title. Please see answer to similar question already posted. Been sitting since late 1970s. Mileage is around 37,000 miles. Thanks.Q: Does the car haxve a clear title or just georgia bill of sale? I s there rust in the window frames? how does the under carraige look?Feb-27-11A: Hi: RE: clear title --- see message posted on auction listing site A little bit of rust in the window frames. The windows are all original except the windshield (broken during storage period); there is a replacement windshield that will be sold with the car to the winning bidder. The undercarriage looks good. It shows surface rust from being parked for many years. Thanks! Q: Numbers matching?Bone stock? All original? How long has your uncle owned it and how long has it been sitting?Feb-27-11A: No number on block because it was an manufacturer engine replacement; the dealership that did the replacement (Arden Chevrolet, Springfield, GA - now out of business) did not stamp the replacement engine. Owner is original owner, and it was bought new as a special order from GM. The vehicle has been sitting since late 1970s.Q: Does car have a clear Title? and is there any original paperwork with the car like the Bill of sale, window sticker, protecto plate, etc..?Feb-27-11A: Car is owned by original owner who has clear title. Owner has copy of title from bank. Title not needed for car from prior to 1986 for valid transfer. Owner also has some tag receipts for annual ad valorem tax payments. Last tag purchased for car in 1979/80. Tag will be sold with car. Q: HI IS THE MOTOR, TRANS, REAR, ORIGINAL TO THE CAR? DO YOU HAVE A PICTURE OF THE COWL TAG. WHAT GEARS ARE IN THE CAR. DO YOU HAVE A TITLE FOR THE CAR. ARE THE FLOOR, TRUNK, ROCKER IN GOOD SHAPE. SORRY FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS. THANKSFeb-27-11A: Hi, See message posted at the listing regarding original parts. Will be taking a cowl tag picture and posting soon. Not sure what gears; believe it to be a T21 Muncie 4-speed. Owner has a copy of the original title from the bank; but title not required for car of this age in State of Georgia for transfer. Floor pan, truck pan in good shape. No rusting of pans. Trunk hood is rusted. Rocker is in good shape. Bottom of doors are rusted. Q: Is the engine original to the car? And the trans? And the rear axle? If engine is original can you send me a pic of the stamp on the pad at the front of the psgr side head? Also some pics of the VIN tag and cowl tag (on the firewall under the hood). Thanks -Feb-27-11A: The engine is original but the engine was replaced by GM at 4000 miles shortly after it was originally purchased. They did not stamp the replacement engine. The transmission is original. The rear axle is original. Will have photos taken of the VIN and cowl tags.Ask seller a question On Mar-10-11 at 06:10:25 PST, seller added the following information: The following paper items are included in this auction: November 1966 title application (original)November 1966 owner's certificate of registration (marked paid)1979 & 1980 tag receiptsphotostat of original title 1967 Chevrolet Owner Protection Plan and New Vehicle Warranty BookStandard MVI Inspection List and Correction Slip (from 1972?)1967 Chevelle Owner's Manual1967 custom feature option accessories booklet (from Chevrolet)On Mar-14-11 at 06:21:29 PDT, seller added the following information: This vehicle has a Holly manifold intake from the factory.
