1933 Ford 3-Window Street Rod Coupe ThtThis all Glass car roller was purchased in October 2004 from Heritage Hot Rods LLC. The receipt shows it to be a 34 coupe but it got titled upon completion as a 33. It came with black powdercoated frame, posi S10rear end with highway friendly gears in the low 3’s. Mustang front and a 33 grill. From a local auto dealership came a crate 290 hp Chevy 350 with a mild cam to be coupled with the tried and true 350 transmission. Many receipts from Yogi’s Show, and they provided the components that went in during construction. His mechanical occupational background is evident in the build and reflects his selection of components. Power steering, Dual Brake Booster, Power Brakes, Vintage Air, Air-Conditioning Heat and Defrost will make for a nice package when you are driving in town or on long distance Highway runs. Interior duties were performed by Kenny Long of Vernon Alabama and nicely done. Upholstery work is Real Leather and exudes that lovely look and smell when you sit inside the car. A GM Tilt -Steering comlumn Is compimented by a Billett Specialties Steering Wheel Wheel. VDO Guages keep the driver informed. Also featuring a custom Sound System with a 10-disc CD player. The Focal Speakers sounds great while keeping the inside un-cluttered. The hydraulic operated Trunk Lid opens to the continued the continued style upholstery of the interior Upholstery.The carpeted floor panel insert lifts to expose the Spare Tire, Jack and Tool Set. It’s all stealth. A Texas Street Rodder/Custom Ford enthusiast heard about the car, drove to Alabama that week and purchased the car. As he has done with his cars, he then proceeded to take the car to the next level. Local custom and performance shops were called upon to update and change items than they thought would be a good addition to the already fine car. The owner does not like surprises and stresses reliability in his cars. Work professionally done in the last 6 months include: QA1 adjustable shock on the rear and reconfiguring the rear shock mounts for better travel. New power steering pump and reconfigured mounts New chrome brake booster and master cylinder. The 350ci 290 hp crate engine got some performance upgrades. After verifying that the bottom end was in great shape, the stock crate components were set aside and an Edlebrock 64cc heads with Comp magnum roller rockers, a Edlebrock Performer RPM intake with a Edlebrock 650 cfm electric chock carb, a MSD billet distributor, MSD coil and Taylor Spiro pro 90 cables were substituted. The custom ceramic headers installed during the original build were coupled with a new pair of Flowmaster Super 40’s to bring out the sound and performance. A speed FX mini High Torque with a Optima Red Top battery were installed to take care of starting duties. Billet Specialties valve covers and K&N equipped air cleaner are used as are billet brackets for accessories. The 350 tranny had a few treats as well. The tranny received a performance rebuild with a B&M shift kit and new converter included. It shifts like it should. With the rear end gearing, it is a very nice highway runner. After recently getting the car like he wants it and now with only 4,800 miles on it, and as often is the case with street rodders, the owners attention has been drawn to another early Ford coupe and there is only so much space in his garage which also holds a beautiful 32 Ford roadster. So he has decided to let someone enjoy the rewards from many thousands of dollars of upgrades to an already eye catching yet refined 3 window coupe.
