Attention Baby Boomers and collectors : this car is for sale to a good home , preferably to someone who appreciates fine cars. this is a show car from the word go. and it will go fast. this car has much history - too much to list . including feature car in Mopar Muscle Magazine (4 pages). not that means much but it helps. it has a complete history to go with it. i intend to sell this car. it can be driven anywhere you want to go and you cant go anywhere without getting noticed in this car. if you are the type who would like to relive a flashback then this is the car. there arent many 73 models left and i have only seen one that i thought was better than this one, but it wasnt red and it wont outrun this one. The car is as follows: 1973 dodge challenger factory rallye car owned since 1984 - 3rd owner - the original owner lives about 20 miles from here sold new here in Kentucky complete restoration numbers matching : engine 400+ hp 340 10.5 to 1 compression bored 30 over mopar parts rebuild kit 474 280 mopar perf purple shaft cam port matched and polished heads intake and exhaust factory hi po headers edelbrock ld 340 intake carter comp 9000 carb w/ electric choke 2.02 /1.60 ss valves w/ bronze guides and steel seats adjustable rockers hydraulic lift this engine was built by a mopar race engine builder heads were built by gerald gearey (the best around was when he was building heads) built for race but never was hi vol oil pump all new wiring all new electrical factory mopar alternator numbers matching original : transmission w/ shift kit original : radiator tanks top and bottom are original to the car. has been re cored to preserve originality original rear axle with 3:23 gears vintage 245 50 vintage REMINGTON XT RADIALS ALL 4 factory correct aluminized exhaust with original exhaust tips(not repos) all original sheet metal no rust rust proofed all new interior / does have original dash pad solid floors and trunk viper red base coat clear 15x8 rallye wheels with nos center caps have build sheet have fender tag car is located in Ky. power steering Power brakes , front disc. blaupunkt 6 speaker cassette with amp original grain with correct seam vinyl top customized slap stick shifter ( i do have the original . goes with car ) this car has won best of show too many times to count has won concourse award official attendee at keeneland concourse show most everything is date coded and or original mopar original parts hi performance suspension with 6/7 leaf rear springs all new brakes drums / rotors all made in USA all original castings even has original rebuilt wagner master cylinder and booster all new stainless steel lines (all) urethane bushings the additional picture is of an original dealer name plate and key fob that came from the dealership where the car was sold new. both are period pieces and new in mint condition. nameplate was never installed. the dealership closed in mid 1980. Additional terms of sale - if there is a successful bidder be advised in advance there is a 500.00 deposit required. once received you will be allowed to turn down the car upon inspection (less my listing fees) this car is as advertised. further, you will receive your deposit back less my listing fees and cancellation of the auction. no harm done.
