1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 4-Speed VIDEO BELOW / PRESS PLAY VIDEO ABOVE / PRESS PLAY Fast440 is pleased to offer this true 138 Code Big Block/4-Speed Chevelle SS, and an interesting thing about the car is that it is EXACTLY the 100,000th Chevelle to roll off the Kansas Assembly Line in 1967 (as indicated in the V.I.N Secquence Number). This proven road Veteran has completed the Power Tour, and has always been a fun and reliable driver. It has travelled 9,732 miles since the mechanical and cosmetic restoration. This solid body TEXAS example has all of It's original Sheet Metal, and has received a Frame-Off Restoration with photo documentation of the build. Originally Blue in color with a 396 Engine, it is now Torch Red with a professionally rebuilt 454 C.I.D. with a mild performance Camshaft installed. The Transmission is a rebuilt Muncie M-21 4-Speed Manual, and the Rear Differential is a GM 12-Bolt with 3:73 Posi-Traction gears. Inspection of the vehicle exterior will reveal quality Clear-Coat paint work with a few minor flaws due to use and age. Exterior trim and glass components are in exceptional condition and restored/replaced as needed. No rust bubbles have appeared on this 5 year-old paint job, and thanks to the media blasting work top to bottom when the car was restored. Straight Body Panels when looking down both sides of the car with good Body Panel fit (both doors will open and close nicely). Overall, and in our opinion a very good exterior presentation. As the pictures will reveal, the interior has been completely restored as well. Seat Upholstery, Headliner, Carpet and various trim components have all been replaced. A Radio needs to be installed, and thankfully the dash was never hacked up for an aftermarket application. The Engine Compartment is nicely detailed with painted to match Wheel Well Inserts.
