Purchased from an Estate Sale after sitting in a garage for 25 years, this Mercedes 220 SE comes with a Bill of Sale. The title was not included in the sale, but should be very easy to obtain if your state requires one. Due to the age of the vehicle, many states do not require a title. I believe this to be a 1963 model year. This 220 SE is actually in pretty nice physical condition, with only a small to moderate amount of rust, due to it's long-term storage inside. The motor is not locked up, spins freely by hand, and appears to have good compression. The steering wheel on this car is really nice - maybe not perfect, but in excellent condition. As is the dash, with all of the woodgrain panels and bezels. Add to that the original Becker Mexico TG Tube Mono AM FM radio, and the interior alone makes me wonder whether to sell the car whole or part it out. If you are looking for some of these harder-to-find parts, this would make a great parts car. If you are looking for a worthwhile project - this car is a great foundation for a restoration - Classic, unusual, stylish, solid, and LOADED with goodies. On Nov-15-10 at 17:37:54 PST, seller added the following information: There has been some discussion as to the actual year of the vehicle, and without a title in hand, I am frankly unsure. The current owner believes it may be a 1961 or 1962. I know the 220 series was made beginning in 1959, and I think the 1960 through 1964 0r 1965 were all similar, but had some changes that would be obvious to the Mercedes experts, so feel free to offer your imput. The radio works well, by the way :-)
