Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Up for auction is a 1989 Honda Pacific Coast PC800 that I got as a project bike and was able to finish it up to the body parts when I lost my job.. This is the smaller version (800cc) of the Honda Goldwing and is among the last Pacific Coasts made. The only reason we are selling this bike is because I ran out of money to continue it. If you are not familiar with the Honda Pacific Coast please take the time to go on line and research the thousands of sites about the Honda Pacific Coast and see what the world thinks of this bike. You will find that this bike is reputed to be one of the most dependable, low maintenance, stylish and fuel efficient motorcycles to ever be on the market. The Pacific Coast is rated between 50 and 70 mpg depending on the rider’s style of riding. This is the perfect bike for pleasure riding as well as for use as a commuter bike. The Pacific Coast has a large locking trunk area as you can see in some of the photos. It will hold two full face helmets as well as plenty of other riding gear. When you stop somewhere you can simply put your helmets and all your gear in the trunk where they will remain dry and secure just like they would be in the trunk of a car. Out of sight and out of mind! The Honda Pacific Coast was only made for seven years (1989, 90, 94, 95, 96, 97 & 1998). There were only about 15,000 of them made in the world. Because of the high price tag Honda put on this bike when they were new, Honda could not sell as many as they had hoped for. Because of its futuristic styling and its price tag this bike is called “the bike that was way ahead of its time.” The Pacific Coast has a very similar style like that of its bigger brother, the Goldwing, with the handling and maneuverability of a sport bike. Anyone who has ever ridden one knows the Pacific Coast loves winding roads. This bike also handles colder weather really well because of the larger wind screen and the way the air vents provide lots of warm air flow to the rider. The fairing of the Pacific Coast also provides really good wind/rain protection while traveling at highway speeds. The Honda Pacific Coast has an excellent reputation for low maintenance and longevity of life. You can find many PC800s with 100,000, 200,000 and even some with 300,000. Please by no means is this bike in mint shape. It could be if someone was to finished the project I started. This bike would not take alot of money to bring it back to 100% but like I stated I lost my job so all 3 of my bikes are being sold off. Clear title and currently registered. What I have set it at reserve is what I have invested in the bike and parts only. Does not count the man hours. If you have the parts or money to finish this bike it will make a great bike for you. The bike runs and is street legal as it sits because I still drive it so the mileage my climb. The bike comes with a clear and free rebuilt salvaged title that is legal in all 50 states.
