This is my mom's car. Bought in 1983 when I was 16 and promised to me but never given up. 1968 Firebird Convertible- Automatic, 350 engine. When purchased the odomoter stated 30,000 miles but the owner said it had been replaced. So ??. Appx. 1994 she had the engine rebuilt. At the time the car had 75,000 miles appx. The car now shows 108,000 miles. She drove it regularly locally from 1994 to appx. 2004. Since then it is driven about 1000 miles per year, just on nice days. It has been kept in the garage when at home. transmission was done appx. 10 years ago. Other maintenance done as necessary. The car was re-painted about 15 years ago and the top replaced (still looks perfect). The paint job was not an expensive one and the car has scratches but no dents and some rust toward the bottom. Very minimal bodywork- rear passenger panel replaced, appears driver rear panel work as well. when I was driving age 18 I had a fm radio cassete player as shown put in the car by a professional that did not damage any of the original radio placement. However the original radio which we kept we have been unable to locate. The car runs well and really just needs some tlc which I would have loved to do if I had the money and time. My parents have no desire to spend any money on the car or feel the need and have finally decided to just get rid of it since they dont use it much anymore. Recently the power top does not go up, will go down but manually must be taken back. It appears maybe just a switch problem.
