Vehicle Detail
I purchased this car new from Wayzata Nissan, Wayzata, MN in 1990. It was my personal driver for four years, then took it to our second home in Rio Verde, AZ (East edge of Scottsdale), where it has been since. I'm actually driving the car back up to Minneapolis today. Note: The Autocheck from eBay is not correct for my car. I'm the oriinal and only owner the car had. Also the mileage stated at 42,814 is accurate. Car and Driver placed the car on its Ten Best list for 7 consecutive years and Motor Trend awarded it as the 1990 Import Car of the Year. After a long successful reign, the Nissan 300ZX was replaced by the 350Z in 2003. Some believe the 300ZX styling is better looking than its successor. True to its heritage, the race-only 300ZX cars had several notable victories, including the 1986 Trans Am series and the 1994 24 Hours of Daytona. However, auto sports politics and a controversial GTS-1 class win at the 24 Hours of LeMans that same year prompted the International Motor Sports Association to declare the twin turbo engine illegal for future competition.[6] The 300ZX also holds the E/BMS land speed record of 419.84 km/h (260.87 mph) from the 1991 Bonneville Speed Trial. Standard Turbo Features: T-Top convertible roof (standard on turbo only) Bose AM/FM Stereo radio/cassette Power door locks Air Conditioning Sunroof/Moonroof Alloy Wheels Power Seats Power Steering Tinted Glass Rear Window Defroster Anti-Lock Brakes Power Mirrors Cruise Control (steering wheel control) Fog Lights Super HICAS 4-wheel steering (rear wheels first turn slightly opposite direction from front wheels for curbside parking ease, then in the same direction to improve stability for fast lane-changes) (turbo only) Door-mounted seat belts can be left buckled to deploy automatically when entering/leaving (this is the best seat belt arrangement I’ve seen) 5 speed manual shift Two position cockpit adjustable shocks Security System Warts: The hood has a few minor road rock dings. Other: This has been a most enjoyable car to drive………responsive when you want it, corners very well and is comfortable on trips. Down shifting is as much fun as up shifting.
