I purchased this bike from the original owner of 35 years in 2003. It was a very well kept unmodified original bike that ran very well but paint was very thin and plating was only fair. The bike had 44,000 original true miles from new. I sent this bike to Triumph Marque Specialist Lars Peterson of Wisconsin for a total, no expense spared, Concours restoration. Lots of NOS parts were used and this entire bike was restored mechanically and cosmetically to be the best of the best. There was attention to every detail including fasteners, wiring, rubber and plating to have this bike be show quality competitive but also mechanically perfect. The exact match Triumph Candy Red paint is spectacular as is the correct striping. I have only ridden the bike a few test miles since completion and the performance and ride quality is outstanding as you would expect on a restoration of this caliber, there are no oil leaks whatsoever. Documentation includes original PA title in August, 1968 postmarked envelope and the original rare owners handbook , not a reprint but the one that came with this bike in 1968. Restoration receipts are also included. There are many "restored" Bonneville's out there but very few are done to this level of detail and correctness. My only reason to sell is too many toys and other projects underway.
