This auction is for a 1978 blue Chevrolet 3/4 ton pickup. The body is rough and needs a lot of work on the cab and front quarter. This truck could be restored. We purchased this truck on 10/05/1987, with 45,804 miles. We have owned it since then, and to the best of our knowledge it now has a total of 70,489 miles. We drove it on the highway for approximately 8 to 10 years to pull our 24 foot camper. Since then, we have used it on the farm to haul hay and to get us out, when the snow was too deep for our other vehicles. The body on this truck was replaced, because of rust previously. The cab and bed are GMC, rather than Chevrolet. It has manual front hubs, 350 V-8 engine, automatic transmission, 4 wheel drive, rubber bed mat, rubber tailgate mat, sliding cab window, Reese style trailer hitch, Ridgerunner aluminum bed topper, and a hydraulic lift for a snow plow. I will include the snow blade, if someone is interested, at no extra charge. This truck does run, but needs a lot of body work, TLC, and a new battery to be road worthy. It does not have a current inspection sticker, or license. Once again, it has been used for farm use only over the past several years.
