Here is a really great little four wheel drive truck. This diesel 4x4 pickup truck runs and drives good, and the four-wheel drive works great! The truck has a four-speed transmission, power steering, and a 4-high, 4-low and 2 high transfer case. This is actually a pretty rare truck! Most of these dependable little diesels are short bed, 2-wheel drive, and a 4x4 long bed is not very common. This one originally had a flatbed on it, which replaced the original 7-1/2’ truck bed. The flatbed was removed and the plan was to put a stock pickup bed back on it. Anyway, plans have changed, bills have piled up, and now I have to sell the truck. I hate to sell it because it is a great little truck an awesome 4-wheel drive and will go places where a lot of others won’t go. The little 4-cylinder diesel gets great mileage too! Everything about this little truck is really solid, but it does have a few things that it should have fixed, such as new boots for the two half shafts on the front. (The ones on it now are cracked.) Also, the transmission seems really solid and doesn’t make any noise, but has to be lined up just right to go into 4th gear. After you drive it a while, you get used to how to shift it and it shifts smoothly and easily as it should. The radio is in the dash, but it needs to be hooked up and also needs speakers. The tires have some tread on them and are useable, but they are pretty worn and should be replace before long. The bed and bumper shown in the photos are included with the truck, although the trim pictured on the bed was removed after the photos were taken so it does not go with it. They are both a little beat up and the bed has some rust holes in three of the corners, but these problem spots can be repaired. As you can see, the outside of the bed isn’t too bad and the bottom of the inside of the bed looks really straight and looks like it never hauled any heavy rocks, metal, or anything that could damage it much. The problem is that it is a short bed. It does, however, fit on the truck and bolts right up with no problems. It just leaves a gap between the bed and the cab that is about a foot wide. I thought I would just build a narrow tool box for this area if I kept the truck. Of course you could also just make it into a flatbed again if you preferred. The cab also has a rust hole on the lower back corner of the driver’s side. As you can see, the interior is also very nice. The passenger seat is in good shape with no tears under the seat cover, but the driver’s seat does have a tear in it. I just put seat covers on both of them. The floor and dash are both original and in nice condition. The headliner looks good, but is dirty and should be washed, and it is missing the passenger’s sun visor. The truck has 256,235 miles on it. If you are familiar with these trucks, you know they can go hundreds of thousands of miles before a rebuild so this engine has a lot of life left in it. I know of one guy who has over 400,000 miles on his truck and would drive it across the U.S. Another nice thing about this truck is that two switches have been installed in the dash. On is for the starter, and one is for glow plug---no ignition switch or glow plug relay to repair. You just turn the key on, push the glow plug button for a few seconds, let go, then push the starter button and the truck starts right up. It’s a great truck and I hate to let it go, but I have bills to pay. Yes, it does have a clear title. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions. I also forgot to mention that there is a rare slider window on the back and a brand new U-joint on the driveline. If you plan to have this vehicle shipped, I will need the buyer to work out the shipping arrangements, however I can help your shipper load the vehicle. I will need a minimum of 24 hours notice before vehicle is picked up.
