The Coronet was the first vehicle to utilize this combination of horsepower and handling upgrades. The R/T package featured the 375 horsepower 440 cubic inch Magnum V8 engine along with heavy duty front & rear swaybars. Front Disc Brakes and high performance shocks were also part of the Road & Track option. The VIN plate is also in place on the door jamb and in beautiful condition. The factory red interior is in beautifully preserved condition. Note the original console, carpeting, and beautifully detailed original dashboard. The 6,000 rpm tachometer is a beautiful piece of original equipment. Sport Bucket seating showcases beautiful factory chrome trim and detailed seatbacks. The vinyl is in excellent condition on all seats. The doorpanels display the original paint and upholstery. These painted upper doors were actually a factory option, listed on this well-optioned cars build sheet. The door undersides are original and in beautiful condition, as are the original floorpans and undercarriage throughout this Texas Coronet R/T. The dash itself features all of the original instruments and controls in excellent condition. The factory AM radio is in place and works. Inside the glove box is the original Chrysler dealer service tag detailing mileage intervals of work performance from new until 1970. The auxillary console lighting is working. The trunk displays the beautifully detailed original trunk pan along with a new mat. New weatherstripping needs to be installed on the trunk lid. The glass is in excellent condition throughout, with exception of a chipped windshield. The Louvered Hood Scoop was unique to the '67 Coronet R/T. The engine compartment proudly displays its correct High Performance 440 cubic inch powerplant. This engine is date-verified to be the late '66 HP stamped factory block. The factory breather is in place as well as the 4bbl. carburetor. The engine firewall displays beautiful original paint. The inner fenders are original and detailed, still showcasing the fender tag on the drivers side. The original core support is excellent as is the rest of the engine compartment. New underhood lace & fasteners complete this quality engine bay. Exhaust gases are expelled through the factory high performance iron manifolds to a new dual Flowmaster dual exhaust system.
