1950 Ford Custom Coupe Hot Rod You are looking at a great 1950 Ford Hot Rod! This two-door purple beauty has gone through an extensive upgrade with a late model 302 cu in Ford high performance engine coupled to a big Ford automatic transmission and hitting the ground with HUGE Mickey Thompson tires on the rear. The narrowed Ford Nine Inch rear-end with tubbed out chassis and body work makes this package a very strong car out of the hole. The engine was rebuilt and a high rise manifold with twin Holley four barrel carbs mounted on top all running through a large dual exhaust system producing a great sound! See and hear attached audio and video. There are various chrome and polished aluminum appointments under the hood that need attention in the form of polishing or cleaning. The interior was redone with a purple, white and black naugahyde along with the door panel and headliner. Most are in good shape, yet the headliner does show a few stains on the passenger side. See pics. The transmission is hooked up to a line lock style shifter. The radio does work as do most of the switches for various lights and gauges. The horn does not work. Nice aftermarket steering wheel with horn kit however. Window crank on drivers door loose. This car appears to have been completed within the past three years, and some things have deteriorated, such as the chrome appointments under the hood and there are very few bubbles in the paint although fit and finish do appear good. The doors open with solenoids with a hidden button disclosed after the sale. There are alot of little points in customizing this car that you need to take a close look at....such as the fiberglass hood with scoop...like the hood having rounded corners rather than stock square...such as the doors and overall car shaved of all chrome and handles giving that nice smooth custom look....and the amount of work done to the bottom of the front and rear sections molded in with an awesome tubular front grille! And don't forget the molded in headlights, tinted glass and blue dot tail lights! Chrome bumpers are in great shape! There are some wires under the hood and under the dash that need to be neatened up. The battery is not that old, yet could use a charge as the car has been sitting a short while. This car would be ideal for someone looking to finish off with a little bit of money and TLC here and there. It is not perfect by any means but a nice street rod with plenty of punch especially with those big meats under the back end. Wheels and tires are great. Back tires....Mickey Thompson 31 x 16.50 x 15 and the fronts are Spartans size P215/75/15. Nice spinners on rims! The front end is pretty stock with drum brakes all the way around. You could not come close to building this car for this kind of money! Someone spent a whole lot of time and money creating this purple hot rod!
