Vehicle Detail
1960 El Camino Restore started on this beauty all the way to new quarters and primered just waiting for a paint job and finish putting it together. Motor is a rebuilt stock 350 chevy with a RV cam (slightly more then a stock cam). Automatic 2 speed powerglide transmission on the column. Does need brakes, possible brake cylinder and a final coat of paint. Mileage we arent sure of on the car. included are the original (5) 14 inch hubcaps along with all the body trim and original interior which is stacked in the back. This vehicle is also being advertised locally. In the event that it sells locally we will pull the listing from the ebay site. in the event that someone has bid on it prior to local sale it will remain on the site until the auction is complete. We are selling this awesome ride for a friend that is battling medical problems. Any questions please feel free to ask. We will contact the owner and pass on any information we can back to you and also post it to the listing. The owner has the original 283 that came with the vehicle and it will be included in this auction. He said that it did run but it smoked. He also said the 350 that is installed is a motor of choice and it was rebuilt prior to installing it in the el camino. The tires 15 inch are in good (inflated) condition and they are mounted on crager s/s rims. The vehicle did start and run in prior years but he says the battery will need charged due to sitting in storage. The vehicle is located in Galesburg, Illinois 61401 for those who wanted to know the city. Extent of rust on the vehicle is shown in the pictures. located at the rear under the tailgate on the body corners under where the bumper would ride on the rear of the truck. Also the floor pans behind the seats passenger and driver need to be replaced as they are also rusted out. Frame is in great condition with minor surface rust. The passenger side window needs to be replaced it is cracked from top to bottom and the back corner of it is broken out. roughly a 1 inch by 1 inch area seprate from the crack. Rest of the windows are in great shape. Rear roof area (over hang) is in great condition with no rust also the bed is in great condition and solid no rusted spots. All the parts are either in the bed of the truck or in the floor behind the seat which is a bench with a 50/50 split top half. If you plan on having a moving company pick this vehicle up we will assist in loading it. The fuel in the tank has laquored and it would be a good idea to use a seprate fuel can if you plan on starting the vehicle. otherwise we have access to a towtruck that has a wench/block system that can help in loading onto a trailer or truck bed.
