If you are looking for a good project car that doesn’t need too much work then look no further! This 1970 SS Chevelle is a great classic muscle car. It is a well-known and sought after vehicle that is getting hard to find in any kind of shape. This is a 1970 SS that the owner has started to work on last year. The V8 does run but runs a little rough. After adding gas, starter fluid and then jumping it, the car did start. It has not been run in at least 6 months so it may run better once it has been driven a little. I could not keep it idling without having the inside hand choke on. It has an exhaust leak, not sure where and it was smoking from up front down near the exhaust pipes. May have gotten oil on pipes and that is why it was smoking or maybe that is where the exhaust leak is, not sure. I did not drive the car anywhere so I don’t know how it drives or if there are any other problems. This Chevelle does come with a Hurst shifter on the floor and tack instrument panels have also been added to the lower dash. I have no idea how many miles on the car or engine. I am pretty sure that the odometer has been rolled over. I don’t have any history on this car and I can’t get any, so I can’t give you any more information that what is in this ad. I looked around the body car and could not find any rust, but I did notice that the rear quarter panels had been welded in the trunk, so it looks like there has been bodywork done on it. The body seams to be in great shape, but there is a spot or two that the paint has come off and you can see the primer. The BF Goodrich Radial T/A (P245/60R15 Rear, P215/70R15 Front) tires are in good shape. The interior is in pretty good shape, but the door panels, armrests, dome light cover and carpeting are missing. The seats and headliner look to be in good shape. There is a little crack starting on the dash, but overall it looks good. This Chevy looks good and with some work will be a very nice muscle car to show off as you cruise the roads.
