1980 Porsche 911 SC This is a rolling project car that showcases a custom widebody built in the style of the DP Motorsports racers. This is a perfect car to build into a Cup Racer. The engine and transmission are removed after suffering a minor fuel injection flash fire which damaged many of the engine accessories on top of the bluck and singed the Kevlar body panels around the engine bay. THe body and paint work was repaired. In addition to general restoration, the following mechanical work needs to be completed NOTE-This car is still under a clean and clear Texas title. The title was not salvaged after the fire: 1. Engine (#630339) is out of car, turns over easily but needs top accessories; engine modifications unknown, appears repairable. 2 Rear wiring needs replacement, some dash wiring was disconnected 3 The ignition switch'steering column lock was broken, also appears repairable The brake linkage from pedal to master cylinder was disconnected. The Euro Spec cars were usually sent directly to DP for modifications that included body, heavier duty suspension, and often engine modifications ot any power level the buyer chose. Engine mods were overseen by the German racing team of Kremer Bros. When they were involved, the "Kremer Racing MIrrors" were usually installed. Both Type I and Type II (race & street) were built. The interior has no rips or tears but is beginning to show its age. There is a sunroof which was sealed before painting and is not functional. This was original an air conditioned car.
