1984 VOLKSWAGEN VW QUANTUM, not running 2.2L, L5, Fuel Injected Needs fuel pump/fuel accumulator. I had this VW inspected, registered, insured and on the road in 2004. To do that, I had new rear struts installed and new brakes, plus other minor repairs. The car ran fine, shifted fine. Later on, the fuel pump gave out and though I bought another fuel pump, I was unable to install it properly, so the car has been sitting in my yard since the tags expired in 2006. If you can do VW mechanics, you should have no problem getting the fuel system up and running. The battery is dead, so the car will need to be towed/trailered from my yard. I have the clear title and the 1984 VW owner's manual. In the State of Maryland, this car does not need to be inspected in order to get tags, because it's more than 25 years old and therefore qualifies for historic tags. There's a dent in the driver's side, behind the rear wheel, see pics. There's various other cosmetic flaws. The blue metallic paint needs attention.
