Vehicle Detail

This is a pretty nice 69 Deville convertible that I am selling for a friend of mine. I bought this car 9 years ago and did a good bit of work to it. I sold the car to the current owner 6 years ago and it has been garaged kept since we both have owned it. The car has power steering, power brakes, cruise control, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, power locks, passenger side mirror, a/m radio, and power seat with fold down arm rest. The car used to be a teal color with black interior. The odometer is showing 16,492 miles so I assume it is 116,492. INTERIOR: The interior looks pretty presentable for the age of the car. The seats were recovered in black and white vinyl several years ago and they still look good. The carpet is faded but not ripped up. The dash has a crack in it and steering wheel ring in cracked up. The dash clock does not work, the radio does not work, original top switch does not work ( but there is a switch under the dash that does work the top), horn doesnt work, and the heat and air do not work. BUT, all the lights work, whipers work, power seat works, gas guage works, speedometer works, windows and locks work, and the top works fine. Speeking of the top, the cylinders and pump were replaced about three years ago so the the top works very well. Also, all the glass looks good. The door panels dont look bad but the carpet on the bottom panels is comming off a little. There is also some interior light covers missing. EXTERIOR: The body is pretty straight and everything lines up well. The left front fender is banged up pretty good from a wheel comming off while driving about 25mph. There is also some dings throughout the body as well. There is some rust comming through on the front of the hood, lower right front fender, and the lower rockers. The top looks pretty good but vandals cut two slits in it with a knife which were profesionally repaired. The top also has a glass rear window. The paint is getting bad and has some spots were it is thinning out but it still shines up pretty well to be a 20 footer. DRIVETRAIN: The motor is a 472ci V/8 with a four barrel carburetor that runs strong. As off 7 years and 4,000 miles ago the motor received Platnium spark plugs, Taylor 9mm plug wires, new belts, new smog pump, new altinator, a Pertronix Electonic ignition ( no more points ), Pertronix Fire Power high output coil, Accel cap and rotor, new brake shoes and pads, rebuilt master cylinder, new brake lines, new starter, and custom dual exhaust which gives the car a great classic sound. About 5 years ago the front coil springs were replaced with new ones and it also received new shocks all the way around. There is also a set of chrome valve covers with new gaskets in the trunk that hadnt been installed. The motor runs good but it leaks oil a little, I know the valve cover gaskets leak. The motor also smokes a little when you first start the car so it burns oil a little aswell. The transmission shifts great but also leaks a little. The car needs tires all the way around. The right front tire is smaller than the others and it pulls a little to the right because of this. The brakes feel great and so does the steering. The original air cleaner and other parts I took off the car are in the trunk if you wanted to put them back on. The bumpers are straight and not rusted up but when you look close you can see that their not as shinny as they were when the car was new. This is a very nice car to drive and enjoy as is, and when money gets a little better then you can fix thing up as you go. With a new set of tires this car would be ready to go cruising in. Other than the busted up front fender it looks exactly as it did when I owned it and it gets a lot of attention. Buyer must pick the car up within 14 days of end of auction. I would like a $200.00 deposit within 24 hours of close of auction. There will be a $10.00 per day storage fee for every day after 14 days the car is still here. The car is located in Middletown MD 21769. Any questions please feel free to ask.
