Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a 1929 Ford Sedan Hot Rod The car is registered and titled as a 1929 Ford. This car is a fiberglass replica mounted on an after market tube chassis. The rear suspension utilizes what appears to be a nine inch Ford rear end with coil over shocks and drum brakes. The front end uses a tubular drop front axle with cross leaf springs, disc brakes and four-link set up. The engine and drive train is comprised of a warmed over 350 Cu. In. Chevy engine coupled to what appears to be a 350 automatic transmission. There is a host of chromed pieces in the engine compartment from valve cover to a polished alternator. The engine has an Edelbrock four-barrel carb and runs well with a nice deep sound through a dual exhaust system with wonderful looking and sounding rectangular tips. The car features power windows controlled by switches on the overhead console and air conditioning, which works fine, but if mine, I’d give it a shot of freon as while it does blow cold, it could blow colder. The interior features a pair of comfortable bucket seats and the entire interior is grey in color. There are some small stains here and there. There is an AM/FM CD radio overhead and sounds great. The dashboard features numerous gauges, all of which work except one gas tank, (there are two side tanks on the car) does not register on the dash, while the other one does. The overall condition of the car is very good, yet not perfect. There are some issues that I would address if I became the new owner, such as the method to which the original owner designed to open the doors. You have to push a key in a small hole at the top of the door sill to open the doors, which works OK, but I’d change to open with a simple key fob, an easy and inexpensive change. The rear door works very nicely with a simple push of a button under the rear license plate. The overall tri-color paint job is good (a few minor runs) with a good shine, yet there are some small cracks developing here and there, something quite common for an all glass car. So, to summarize…..there are two kinds of potential buyers for this classic ride…. 1. Someone that likes the overall description and look of the car and other than a few minor tweaks, would be perfectly fine with driving and enjoying the car the way it is, after all, the car certainly passes the 60-60 test, that being looking great at 60 feet away at 60 miles per hour. 2. Someone that wants to build a hot rod, but does not have $20 to $30,000 to create one which is what this one would cost to start from scratch. Going through this one and redoing parts or all of the interior panels and repainting would be way more cost effective than starting from scratch. Keep in mind, either potential buyer could not build this car for this kind of money and remember, there is NO RESERVE!! This car will sell!! Feel free to call Russ at (540) 885-3229 for more details on this car. Note: No trades accepted. Also, don't email or call with any offers less than the opening bid of $10,995. This is not a slapped together nasty rat rod built out of parts on hand for a couple of grand. It would take $20 - $30,000 to build a car such as this. Just check with any kit car company to confirm.
