Vehicle Detail
As far as I know I'm the 3rd owner of this low mileage 240Z. All original drive train. A daily driver with strong motor, and fine shifting automatic transmission. While a great start for a total restoration, I do not have the time to complete it. I have brought it to this state as described below. After replacing the radiator this summer, I never experience heat sink is sort of typical with these models. PROS: New Mishimoto aluminum radiator, fuel tank was dropped and completely restored with POR15 system, fuel lines flushed, rubber lines replaced where necessary, brakes rebuilt in addition to new brake and master cylinder, carbs completely rebuilt and tuned, new front struts, new tires, new carpet, cooling system flushed, automatic transmission flushed and adjusted, wheels stripped and painted with PPG single stage urethane, FEA, new front bumper although not installed, and probably some things I forgot. CONS: The windshield has wiper marks on the driver side (I have a good w/s out of a 280Z you can have), rear struts probably need to be replaced at some point, don't have a rear bumper for the car, some bubbling on the right rear quarter has just started (rockers all solid), drivers floor needs patch or partial replacement. Vehicle was manufactured 9/72. All in all, it is a terrific start for a complete restoration or driven as is. I would prefer the balance of payment to be made in person, and as always, inspection of the vehicle is welcomed prior to close of Auction. I've seen these cars sell for a good deal more than what I believe is my low reserve considering the condition of this car. And, if someone is looking to convert this automatic to a 5 speed, I have a 78 280Z available at an additional price that is being rebuilt at this moment with most items needed for the conversion.
