Description This Model 3 is a Long Range (310/334/495 mile range depending on driving style and conditions. See link below.*), Rear-Wheel Drive edition with Premium Upgrade Package in a beautiful Midnight Silver Metallic. It was a mid-December 2018 delivery. It's equipped with the very latest Autopilot 2.5 suite. I have chosen not to elect the enhanced autopilot. (My Model S has activated enhanced autopilot, and I use that Tesla for longer trips). You can always sign up for the enhanced autopilot if you wish; simply pay the fee and Tesla will re-activate it for you wirelessly. The Long Range battery and Premium Upgrade on my Model 3 are a $14,000 package. The Midnight Silver Metallic is a $1,500 dollar option. Tesla's destination fee is $1,200. The Premium Upgrade Model 3 comes with heated seating (each of the 5 seats can be individually selected to be heated), 12-way power adjustable front seats, a premium audio system, 15 inch Touchscreen display, all-glass panoramic roof, center console with covered storage, 4 USB ports and docking for 2 smartphones. Tinted glass roof with ultraviolet and infrared protection. Auto dimming, power folding, heated side mirrors. Custom driver profiles which remembers and sets seat, mirror and steering wheel positions for several drivers. LED fog lamps, satellite map with navigation, in-car streaming media, over-the-air updates via Wi-Fi & cellular. Voice command for navigation and entertainment (this is one of my favorite features), and the Tesla App for your smartphone allowing remote locking/unlocking, setting charge limit, cabin preheating or cooling, and much more from wherever you are, even if thousands of miles away. Comes with the new car warranties. 8 years or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first, on the Battery and Drive Unit. And the New Vehicle Warranty, which is 'bumper-to-bumper', 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. The wheels are pictured above in both configurations - with the Aero wheel covers installed, which do look very good with the Midnight Silver Metallic finish, and in the 10-spoke dark gray aluminum which is how I have them now. The Aero wheel covers are boxed and come with the purchase. I also installed the dress-up glossy black lug nut caps and the center hub Tesla-logo caps for when you're using the 10-spoke dark aluminum wheel configuration. Since delivery: other than on delivery day, the car has never seen rain; very gently driven for these 684 miles - accelerator never floored and brakes have yet to be applied above 8 mph; battery has not been charged all the way to 100%; floor mat protectors have kept the factory floor mats from ever feeling shoes; car always garaged and covered. Comes with all manuals, the original window sticker, 2 keycards and the charging kit supplied by Tesla. You may already know that this very desirable Long Range battery / Rear Wheel Drive combination is no longer available from Tesla. The Long Range Model 3 now is only available by also paying for dual motor, which gets 8% lower range.* Or for about the same money as my Long Range is selling for, you can get a Mid-Range (264 mile) Rear Wheel Drive, which has a reduced (less coverage) battery and motor warranty!Buying this car gets you an essentially brand new Tesla Long Range RWD at a great price, with no waiting for delivery and no waiting until 2020 to get the recently reduced $3,750 federal tax credit ($7,500 credit no longer available). EPA rating and Model 3 range: * The following link has a good explanation of how the EPA arrived at a 334, then 310, mile EPA rating for this car . . . https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-model-3-epa-rating-334-miles-long-range/ After the EPA computed the 334 "rated" range from the 495 mile city / 454 mile highway results (and that was measured before the 2018 improvement in Model 3 efficiency), Tesla asked EPA if they could put a lower number on the window sticker. The EPA said yes, you can put any number which is lower than 334 if you wish. So Tesla chose 310 miles. Tesla has not publicly explained why they did this. The consensus of opinion seems to be that it was for two reasons. 1) Tesla didn't want the lower priced Model 3 with 334 miles of range to upstage the similar range of the flagship Model S 100, which is twice the price, and 2) Tesla wanted to put the same EPA number on both the rear wheel drive Model 3 which was then available and on the all wheel drive model to be released in the future, which, according to what I read, has a range 8% lower than the LR RWD. Whatever the ratings say, you can see in the last picture that my projected range Friday was 440 miles, based on my driving style and environment. Considerably above the 310 miles of Tesla stated range. Incidentally, that picture is with only an 89% charge. As another example of how conservative the EPA ratings on this car are, the comparative energy efficiency rating the EPA assigns the Model 3 is 136 MPGe in city driving. Around town, I consistently get over 200 MPGe. The 30 minutes of in-town driving shown on the Energy Consumption page in the last picture, for example, represents 223 MPGe. That beats my Volt and my Model S by huge margins.
