You are bidding on a Super Nice 1982 Ford Escort Wagon GL from Sacramento California area. The pride of Ford economy from 1982 with a (1.6 liter 4-cyl) and 4-speed transmission. These cars were all over the place back in the day! But try finding a nice one nowadays? and you'll be hard pressed to find one like this! It is a GL model so it has power steering,and AM radio, rear defrost but no A/C although the crank down windows all work properly and it only has 70,983 miles. This is a fun throwback car to run around in you sure get some looks, (younger people have never seen one before!) it's a lot of fun! It is still all original paint, no rust, no damage, good glass good exhaust, just a few small dings and a few paint blemishes here and there. Overall very pleasing to look at, it could still use a good full detail and polish to make it really nice. We did replace the head gasket and machined the head so it is running very well even down the highway at 65 mph. All the chrome trim and bumpers are in really good shape and shine nicely. The bottom side is super solid and clean, some new fuel lines as seen in the pictures. The tires are good with lots of tread, the wheels could use a little sanding and fresh silver paint, or I have some nice looking 13-inch early Mustang caps to put on as seen in the picture. The interior is in great condition, almost like new. The driver seat only has a small tear in the back rest, the carpet is good, as are the seat belts, just a pleasure to ride in. The dash is really nice as is the headliner which has only one small spot where about 2 inches of the thread is loose, the rear interior cargo area looks almost like new! the spare tire & well are all in nice condition!
