Vehicle Detail
Just turned 140,000 miles! - I'm the second owner since 1993. - Original gearbox with Honda Moly on the splines every 15k. The input shaft is a bit worn but it’s been that way since 1993/27,000 miles. Hond Moly is a wonderful thing. - Matching numbers - Pichler faring (black unpainted) with Gustafsson short sport screen. - 1988 K100RS 41.3mm front Sport forks, wheel, dual brakes, fender. (Sorry no ABS but the ring is there!) this is a 2.5” wide 18” rim so a 100/90-18 tire fits properly. - Michelin Pilot Activ front and rear. 100/90H18 front and 4.00H18 rear Tubeless tires. - Braided steel lines. Btw this makes this R65 the best handling r65 at any speed in the country.- LS Y-type rear rim with square 32/9 final drive. - 600 watt motoelectric Omega Alt.- Secondary generator light installed. - PC680 battery.- Super bright LED headlamp with working modulator.- - K&N filter. - 5” PIAA driving lights with H3 LEDs. - Givi e37 side panniers and e52 topcase with brake lights. - Hyper brake lights. - Kisan halogen flashing brake light. - Still original points in a can but coils have been replaced with a single Dyna coil. - Patina galore! - The front coil mount has been fixed. - Valvolene 80w90 Tranny, drive shaft, rear diff 85W140 summer. - Valvolene 10w40 motorcycle oil for the winter. Summer VR1 20w50 with two (2) shims under the $3000 dollar o ring and NO gasket. - I have the oil cooler kit in a bag but it’s not installed at the moment. - Heads rebuilt by Nathan @ Boxerworks at 60k. Drive shaft rebuilt at 45k. - Original bores and pistons with just rings and hone.- I’ve done two iron butt rides on this bike (only the 50cc is documented 2006) and am on the list. - - During the summer I regularly drive this bike between Georgia and Cape Cod - Speedo and tach both work. - Brown Sidestand - New Exhaust system- Tank sealed with Caswell It needs: Rear main seal. (I have seals plus Ed Korn tool) Day long saddle rebuilt but prolly just throw away as seat pan is not good. I have the original seat recovered with a good pan. Paint. This bike is my Daily rider and runs great, starts down to 25’F. Motor is quiet and doesn't smoke. You can, if you want, fly in to Atlanta and ride home, across the country if needs be. This bike will do it.
