1979 Honda CB 750K Limited 10th anniversary edition Honda CB750. Honda made a limited number of these bikes for sale in the US to commemorate the original CB750. These limited edition motorcycles had distinct two tone red and maroon paint, special badging, special exhaust, and chrome fenders and chain guard like the original CB750. 1979 was the first year for dual overhead cams. I purchased this bike from a Dallas, TX Honda dealer's private collection. This motorcycle was never sold, but held in the dealer's private collection of motorcycles, maintained by the dealership and ridden less than 10,000 miles in the 38 or so years he owned it. Always stored inside this bike is in exceptional condition for its age. Original paint and chrome still shine like new. There are a few minor defects in the paint and chrome but overall this is an extremely nice example of an anniversary edition CB750K. Look at the photos closely and zoom in, I can't imagine there is a nicer original 79 anniversary edition for sale. The engine fires right up, and the bike runs, rides, handles, and stops like new. Everything works as it should, lights, turn signals, brake lights, tach, speedometer etc. The clutch is tight and the transmission shifts smoothly through all 5 gears. Tires have good tread but do have some dry checking from age. Original owners manual and tool kit are included. This is a nice bike that won't disappoint. I have purchased some additional parts that are included in the sale including two tanks and three extra side panels. The idea was to keep the original parts original, and restore the extra parts to perfect condition. All the extra parts are included in the sale. The exhaust on the bike is four into two and in excellent condition. Chrome is great, sounds good, no leaks, etc. I was told that these special edition bikes could have either four into four or four into two exhaust. This one has four into two. The previous owner/dealership may have added this exhaust, I'm not sure. Hope this helps, thanks. DaveOn Dec-15-18 at 18:01:39 PST, seller added the following information: In interest of full disclosure, it has been brought to my attention that this motorcycle has four into two exhaust and would have come with four into four exhaust. So the exhaust on this bike has been changed. Also, the seat does appear to be recovered and seems to be the original seat in the original pattern that has been reupholstered. Additionally, the engine covers that are black would have originally been silver. Thanks to the experts that have pointed out these discrepancies. I am not an expert on these bikes and have represented this motorcycle as it was represented to me by a reputable dealer. The bike is not perfect, it is nearly 40 years old. It is a very nice bike, runs and rides great and looks exceptional for its age in my opinion.
