Up for sale is this very clean, somewhat rare 1958 AJS 31 CS. Bike is running and has had some recent work. New paint. New battery. Lucas K2FC rebuilt by Marks Magneto Service in Colchester Ct. Brand new clutch. Brand new seat. New oil lines. Nice anti sump/kill switch from Ad Coppins. New Burgess style silencer. Avon Road Riders with less than 250 miles on them. Very nice Akront alloy rims. Original AJS (proper year) alloy gas tank. Vintage alloy fenders. (2)Brand new ewarts style petcocks. New fuel line (proper crimped ferrules) New spark plug wires. Vintage tire pump. Vintage Amal carb. (gone through) Newly chrome plated brake pedal, shift lever and misc nuts bolts and brackets. Miller head lamp (no QD plug), as is the horn switch and kill switch. Original Lucas tail light. Smiths Speedo. Very nice NOS Stadium bar end mirror. Proper Lucas Horn. Proper oil tank and cover along with the proper battery carrier. Lots of wiring replaced with new. Engine has 59 and up (5/16 studs) cylinder and heads which is apparently a common fix for this rare model (factory stroked engine). Some misc spare parts are included.
