1980 Mercedes Benz 450SL R117 Convertible Roadster. Last year for the 450. Has both soft and hard tops. Both are in excellent condition. I have records dating back to 24K miles. Looks to be a 3 owner car. Very meticulous 3 ring binder of records, original manuals, tools for top, original spare tire (never used). Chain tensioners, Alternator, R134 Freon conversion (needs a charge) were done in the recent past. Firestone tires have excellent tread. New battery in May 2018. Runs and drives very well. No rust. Start bidding price reflects mileage but you will be hard pressed to find a cleaner or well maintained 450SL for this price. NADA is $12,800 for a #3 driver and Hagerty is $16,000. No reserve auction. Car was brought to Ohio by my dad from Florida. Always garaged. Currently located at my residence in Norfolk, Virginia as I am selling it for my dad's estate. We are a car family and my dad had 5 collector cars and I own 4. While this is an estate sale, I am familiar with this car and Mercedes Benz (owned 4 1970s1980s vintage MBs in the past).
