2500HD Classic 6.0 LQ9 400miles!! Bought this truck 6 months ago. I am the second owner. 1st owner bought it fresh off the lot in 07 and basically ran it up and down the road installing gutters with it..so its lived a quiet life for a 2500HD.. I pulled the motor out and stripped it down to bare block. I did a FULL rebuild(even put new cam bearings) . I will list what has been done to the motor •ported 317 heads with new viton valve seals. •216/220 Elgin (sloppy stage 1 cam) •flat top pistons with genIV rods (brand new oem) this essentially turns the motor from a lq4 to lq9. Freshly honed cylinders and new rings. Lq9 crank. •50lb GM OEM injectors (brand new not used) • Black Bear Performance Tune. The pcm has been activated for e fans so if you ever add electric fans its plug and play. Also has CAI, and a upgraded oil barbell from sac city corvette, brand new oil pump and ls2 timing chain. All of the work has been meticoulusly documented . I have pictures and videos of every step of the process. Way too many to post on here. As of right now as i type this the motor has 391 miles on the rebuild. Oil was changed at 70 miles and will be again tommrow when i hit 400. Motor was built with assembly lube and also pressure lubed before the first start to ensure no fricton what so ever.. Truck is a work truck so it has hand crank windows and cloth seats. I also gutted the interior to bare metal when i purchased it and washed all the seats (cloth seat covers can be taken off of the seats and washed in washing machine) and cleaned every nook and cranny. It smells and looks like a brand new truck. It runs like a scalded dog when i want it to but it also drives sensibly if you dont floor it everywhere. For those who have towed with a stock lq4 you know its a dog. This is not that motor...this is a built lq9 and this motor gets this truck up to speed so fast you think you were driving a 1500. This truck is FAST. Not 1000HP fast but if you want a 2500HD gasser with some towing POWER or just to rip the streets come take a test drive. the odometer has 284K on it but body is amazing..The trans is in tip top condition its a 4l80e those things are bulletproof. sadly there is a crack in the front glass as of this moment. This may change if i find a front windshield for a decent price. truck is 2wd and has 4.10 gears. This is my DD so mileage will go up not that it matters. Looking for $15k. I will consider trades. im not in a hurry to sell and i dont really need to tbh..just want to see what kind of offers i get..just dont try and trade me some clapped pos.. ..anyway thanks for lookin.
