Our Current ListingsAbout CABS Classics 1974 Chevrolet Malibu Classic Just the Facts I'm proud to offer for your consideration this 1974 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Classic. This is a one owner car, 44k original miles, and honestly drives like it's brand new. I drove it about 100 miles, no overheating, no vibrations, easy starts, perfect idle at stop signs, just zero complaints! It would be really hard to find a 74 Malibu this nice anywhere. 1974 Chevelles featured new Mercedes-inspired chrome grilles made of diecast steel for the last time. Rectangular shaped taillights replace the dual round lenses on all coupes and sedans. Those lovely federally mandated 5 MPH rear bumpers were also added this year. The Malibu Classic was the top-line series for 1974, marketed as the upscale luxury trim level similar to the Caprice Classic. Inside, the Malibu Classic featured luxurious interiors with notchback bench seats, carpeted door panels, and woodgrain instrument panel trim. Base engines were the 250ci six and the 350ci V8, which this beauty has. A little about this car - it was bought new in Springfield, MO and is still here today. Has the original title still. Everything works inside, like gas gauge, clock, radio (not believed to be original), etc. The rear bumper filler panel was missing, so that is aftermarket and painted the correct color. Paint isn't perfect but it's believed to be the original paint! This car is rust free, the trunk pans look brand new! On the air - it's all there, blowing air, just not cold. Charged it, but it didn't hold the freon long. Could be as simple as some O-Rings. New owner may want to convert over to R134a so selling it as is with the winter coming on. I didn't do a lot under the hood. Installed new hood insulation, cleaned it up a little, but left that original patina. Bling it or leave it as it is, your choice. I try to give cars I auction complete and detailed descriptions. The cars are always available for inspection by yourself or a third party. If you have a question please ask before purchasing the car. You'll always get full honest answers which eliminates any possible issues after the sale. This is a no reserve auction, so don't bid if you don't want to own this car. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
