Vehicle Detail

**UPDATE** To give you an idea of just how much this car is underpriced, check out the 11th and 12th pictures of this listing. Using the Hagerty Valuation Tool, this car (taking condition, mileage and TWO sets of premium wheels into consideration) would easily be in the EXCELLENT range, which is almost $24,000. I'm just trying to give it a good home (hopefully with another Camaro enthusiast) and give someone a really good deal in the process. Don't miss your LAST chance to buy this beautiful car for well below market value... **And now, back to our regular listing.** Life is too short to drive a boring car. AND, you shouldn't have to pay $37K+++ for a garden-variety six-gen Camaro SS that: A. Will depreciate by THOUSANDS, THE SECOND you drive it off the lot. B. Looks exactly like a fifth-gen, if you squint your eyes. Besides, Camaros were supposed to be about affordable performance, not about a $75,000 ZL1, that can do a 7:16 lap around the Nürburgring. But, I digress... Someone is going to get the deal of a lifetime on a RARE, prime example of premium Chevrolet muscle. A car that held one of the world's fastest production top speeds (and quickest 0-60 times) for YEARS following its release AND it doesn't look like every other Camaro on the road. She's the ultimate ice-breaker, your very-own genie in a bottle. Imagine having the tops off and the stereo up, the sweet scent of your date's perfume mixing with the cool night air, as she curls up in her soft leather seat, content to feel the powerful rumble of the engine as it carries you both closer to the limitless potential of the night. So, without further ado, I present, my pristine garage-kept, 2002 Chevrolet Special 35th Anniversary Camaro SS. It has spent its entire life in Texas and has NEVER been driven in the rain or any other inclement weather. Only 3000 of these "Z4C" SS Camaros were built for U.S. distribution in order to retire the fourth generation Chevrolet F-body style (and, at the time, the entire 35-year production run of the Camaro). However, of those 3000, only 1037 were equipped with six-speed manual transmissions and removable roof panels, like the one you see before you. The SLP build number for this car is 2007; a screenshot from SLP, concerning this car, is included in the photos. This is the genuine article, the real deal. The Corvette-inspired 5.7L LS1 Aluminum-block V8 engine (rated at 335hp from the factory and protected by AMSOIL full synthetic) delivers surprisingly good gas mileage, if you don't plaster your foot against the firewall. Other mechanical features include a velvety-smooth, six-speed Hurst short throw shifter mated to a T56 transmission, center-dual exhaust, functional ram air induction and a power steering cooler; all of which were part of the SLP modification. The only non-OEM parts are a reusable K&N air filter inside a high-performance aftermarket air intake, transmission skip shift eliminator and chassis subframe connectors. Otherwise, this stunning collector's edition Camaro is bone stock and has been kept that way to maintain its inherently solid resale value. As for its strikingly beautiful appearance, this eye-catcher sports SLP special edition silver checkered "Dual Heritage" rally stripes over its original bright rally red paint (lovingly clay barred and hand waxed with Zaino), tinted T-tops, special 35th Anniversary SS badging (inside and out) and 17" American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels mounted inside BF Goodrich G-Force high-performance tires (a definite improvement over the Goodyear Eagles which were standard on Z-28's). The original 17" 35th Anniversary SS wheels will also be included with the car, so you will receive two full sets of premium alloy wheels. Inside, you'll find an immaculate ebony & pewter two-tone leather interior with embroidered 35th Anniversary SS badging on the headrests and trophy mat along with a 35th Anniversary plaque mounted on the dash. Other interior features include: a BOSE Monsoon premium 6-speaker CD stereo with steering wheel controls, cold A/C, tinted power windows, full instrumentation, cruise control, power drivers seat, the original owner's manual and more. There's even a clever mechanism in the trunk to securely lock and protect the removable roof panels from damage while they're not in use. Even after 16 years, she still has that new car/leather smell, due in large part to being stored indoors and the fact that no one has ever smoked, ate or drank while inside the vehicle. NO bodywork has been done on the car. She is as solid as a rock and straight as an arrow. The only mechanical issue is that the power window motors have become intermittent, which is a common F-body problem. It's an inexpensive fix if you know what you're doing. Even if you're a weekend wrench warrior, you'll find several online videos/tutorials to walk you step-by-step through the repair process. The odometer boasts only 39K original miles (of which, the majority have been logged on the highway). This beauty turns heads everywhere. Who knows whose attention she will capture with YOU behind the wheel? So, don't get ripped off by a dealership that's only out to make a commission! Buy a car from a fellow Camaro enthusiast who has pampered and loved that car, someone who knows its history and wants to find it a good home. You will be solely responsible for pick-up or transport of the vehicle. Per standard eBay policies, a $2000 deposit will be due within 48 hours after purchase and the remaining balance must be paid within seven days after you agree to buy the car. To expedite the transfer of ownership, my preferred method of payment is cash in person. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! Please don't waste my time; I promise that I'm not wasting yours. This is one hell of a car and one lucky buyer will be getting a SWEETHEART of a deal when they purchase this rare slice of Camaro history. Thank you for looking and have a wonderful day!
