2005 Chevrolet Chevy SSR Convertible Super Sport Roadster NICE Up for auction is a really nice 2005 Chevrolet SSR (Super Sport Roadster) Convertible truck that starts easy, runs great and drives like a bat out of hell. It has a rebuilt title, because it was hit in the left rear side in an accident and parts are very hard to find because these SSR's are a very rare. This SSR is really fun to drive. PLEASE let me be clear - this is the funest vehicle I have ever owned. It is really fast and really fun to drive. I have owned 24 Corvettes and three were brand new (2004, 2006 and 2008) and this SSR is so much more fun to drive. It was garaged by previous owner and It was hit in an accident in the left rear (driver) quarter panel. I was told the insurance company paid $26,000 in the insurance claim. I purchased this SSR from an auto body broker and had it repaired. I purchased the quarter panel. Miles - The speedometer did not work when I purchased it and I purchased a used cluster. The used cluster shows 68,800, but this is not the mileage and we are driving it every day. The title states exempt. Engine - The 6.0L LS engine is very powerful and fun to feel when the gas peddle is pressed to the floor. It will move out quickly and really push you back in your seat. The engine looks nice. Paint - The paint looks great. I had the silver running boards painted red and I like it better. Tires - I purchased new rear tires. I like large looking (tall) old school tires and they ride better than thin tires. The front tires look great. I do not have the OEM wheels. I like these chrome wheels that came with it. Convertible Top - The hydraulic driven hard top works great. It is cool as hell! ISSUE - Hail damage on rear painted bed cover - The rear painted bed cover has 5 or 6 dents from hail. The hail damage would be easy to fix. I did not have the dents fixed. The bed cover will come with dents. You cant see them and nobody notices them. One photo shows the hail dents.We love this SSR and my 16 year old son does not want to sell it. I would like to get $22,000 and am selling it locally so I have the right to end this auction early. Warranty- NO - AS IS WHERE IS Payment - cash is best. Cashier checks and wire transfers must clear my bank before she exits the driveway.Pick up -works best, but I would load it on a trailer that the winning buyer sets up when the funds are cleared. Why are we selling it - My wife, and two daughters are in college and we need the money. It just sits in the garage and the money will pay the college bills.
