I’m selling my 1981 El Camino. This is an extremely nice example that I have been working on for over a year. It was stripped to bare metal, primered, high build primer, 2 coats metallic rootbeer paint, 4 coats of clear. It had almost no rust when I started on it. I get thumbs up and compliments wherever I take her, however I would not consider this a show car. It is a beautiful 10 footer and close inspection shows that this was my first restoration and paint job, done in my garage. Brand new 15” ralleye wheels and Firestone white letter tires. I also have the original 14” factory ralleye wheels with decent tires. The interior is very nice as well. Everything works except the cruise control. Ice cold A/C with brand new compressor and accumulator. Has the 3.8 V6 that gets 20mpg no matter where I drive it. Drives excellent on the highway as well. The bed is near flawless and done in flat black as I was intending to line-x it. Floors and trunks are near perfect. Has brand new front brakes, rotors, bearings and shocks. Brand new rear OEM air shocks that were factory. I have the 2 El Camino emblems and rear bow tie if someone wants them back on but I like the clean look better. This is Z vin car meaning it was a California car built in Fremont California. Odometer shows almost 27000 Miles but not sure If that’s 127000. I’m sure there are some things I’m forgetting.
