Vehicle Detail
This is an original D Code 1964 1/2 Mustang. Beautiful early 65 Mustang with a 289 4V, 4 Speed Transmission. Runs and drives great. One of the first Mustangs ever built; it left the assembly line only 29 days into the historic Mustang production (May 16, 1964). It was top of the line for its time and options. The car has era style tires, perfectly working era radio, and many new parts. The car was restored in 2012 and I have service records an inch thick. It is painted Caspian Blue Metallic, but will certainly need a paint job to be perfect. The power top mechanisms still work perfectly, but missing the top (see below). All gauges work perfectly, including the rally pac. Clean title. This is the second listing of this car because the original buyer didn't fully read the description. Please read below; it is not ready for the road. A tree fell on car smashing the top, quarter panel and windshield so it’s missing the top and windshield. I bought a new quarter panel, but haven’t put it on. It will come with the car. The pillar post is bent a little so will likely need to be put back in shape before the windshield will fit properly. The driver side door will need to be adjusted a bit for the gaps to be perfect. The trunk lid will also; it doesn’t open easily without rubbing against the deck filler panel. There is some body filler that will need finishing. I took a few pictures of those places. The door glass was removed to clean and maintenance the tracks and regulators, but I haven’t put them back in yet. I will try to have them in soon, but I may not have time – they will still come with the car. Sorry for the low lighting pictures; it had just finished raining when they were taken. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking.
