Vehicle Detail

For sale is my El Camino, it has 80% all new parts....... no joking for real. I bought it as a roller, the previous owner had spent mega$$$ replacing just about everything on the body, I mean everything. It has, new windshield, new door glass, door pins, all new weather stripping, for all windows, even back glass. Reupholstered door panels, split bench seat, custom molded dash cover, head liner, window switches, lock switches, brake pedal pad, heat/sound matting under the carpet & in door panels, Kenwood CD player, 115mph Speedometer, 5" Monster Tach, bumper cover on front, rear bumper delete rear, new tail lights, new chrome front grill, new front springs, ball joints, rotor calipers, control arm bushings, "POSI-Rear End (3:73)" new "boxed" top and bottom control arms, new springs, 2.5" billet spacers, all new body mounts. New 16 gal fuel tank and sender. New American Racking Aluminum Wheels, 15" x 8" with 245/ 60 tires. I know I most likely forgetting a lot more. What I did to the El Camino...... this is worth the read. 1982 Chevy 4-bolt main 350 block, Stan/Stand- Scat Crank, GM Pink Rods, Summit Racing 4-valve relief hypereutectic aluminum pistons (.40 over). ARP rod bolts, main bolts, head bolts, stainless intake bolts, valve cover bolts, Scorpion 1.5 roller rockers, manley harden push-rods, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Street Demon 625 carb, electric choke. High output, OEM style water pump, Champion 4-core Aluminum radiator, High output fan blade, HEI distributor with Pertronix duel-spark module high output coil, 185cc runner, 2.02/ 1.60 aluminum heads, OEM oil pump with aftermarket spring, duel row, roller timing chain, Carter Muscle car mechanical fuel pump, Howards Hydraulic flat tappet camshaft ( .470 intake, .470 Exhaust lift, 285 duration intake 295 duration exhaust, 231@ 50 241@ 50, lobe separation 112, RPM range 1800-6000. The transmission is a TH350 with an extreme build, about a 350hp build, snappy shift, slight stall converter. Still column shifted. Mid-length headers, 2-1/2 true duels, 2 chamber mufflers, sounds very good. The compression is around 10/1, it likes 93, might could do 89, if you took some of the timing out. It has a rear-end from I guess a G-body Monte Carlo, but it does have a GM locker in it, will lay two very pretty black line starting at the same time. Does not hop or have the G-body Shuffle, so remember that when hooking up, the 7.5 are not that strong. It is a bullet off the line, but it has a 3 speed auto trans with 3:73 so it runs out of gears quick. I built the engine, know everything about it. Now... because I do not think there is a single bolt I have not turned on this El Camino, I can tell you what is not right, I am very picky, and I do not want anyone to buy something from me without knowing 100% everything. I built the engine so I could run air condoning, the compressor and lines are not there (No A/C), but hot as H**L heat. The carpet was not replaced, it is worn, needs to be replaced, it would get the interior is close to 100%. The paint is few years old, but El Camino set inside a climate controlled garage for several years. The guy I bought it from used a 1 stage paint, while it looks good, not a show car finish, has a few scratches here and there, and a few spots on the tail gate the look a little hazy. The window motors are OEM and original, they work but are Slow, electric looks will sometimes only open the passenger side. The windshield wipers have delay, but they do not have all the speeds. There is an issue, but it has only happened once, the interior light will pop the fuse. The speedometer is about 8 mph off, it reads low, gas gauge works great, oil pressure and temp are not hooked up, but I have a 3 gauge meter set with temp/oil/volt mounted under radio consol. The Engine RPMs from a oversized aftermarket tach with shift light. The front passenger tire will rub if you cut the to hard to the right sometimes. I have showed the car a few times, got a lot of ohhs and ahhs... it's nice, but not the nicest 1986 out there, but it's a nice one.
