Vehicle Detail
This is a great-running 2002 Volusia. I helped a friend of mine buy it, it was to be her first bike. Unfortunately we did a couple of lessons on it and she ended up having to move for work . . . and couldn't take it with her. So now I'm helping her sell it. I have the title in hand, the bike can be picked up at any time. It had 13,126 miles on it when we registered it, and it only 13,139 now. It was driven twice when she was learning, and I've driven it around the block and to the store up the street every few weeks so it wouldn't sit. The bike runs great, and gets great gas mileage. It looks pretty good from any distance, but if you look at it up close you will see nicks and scratches. The ones on the tank and fenders where there when we bought it. The older gentleman who I purchased it from had put the handlebars SO low that each time you turned in a parking lot they scraped the top of the tank. I moved them up, but the scratches are there on both sides of the tank. She also panicked coming to a stop when learning to ride it, and kind of slow-motion fell over with it, which put a small dent on the tank where the emblem is. It also broke off the mirror, but I replace the mirror and mount. I also put a new choke cable on it, as the old one was sticking really badly and had a broken piece of plastic on it. I have close-up pictures of the scratches and such. I also replaced the throttle handle and grip with a brand-new one, the plastic on the old one was getting really brittle and had small cracks in it, I didn't feel comfortable selling it like that. However I don't have the end cap for it. This is the same exact bike as the Suzuki Boulevard, they just changed all of their cruisers to the name "Boulevard" a couple of years after this was made. The only difference between this one and the new one is that this one has carbs instead of fuel injection. If you want a really decent 805cc bike without a lot of miles, this would be a great one. It is light enough to be easy to ride, yet has enough torque to keep you from stalling or struggling on the road. It sits low, and would be great for a shorter person as a daily driver. I used to own one just like it a number of years ago, and I drove it back and forth from Daytona Beach to Melbourne every week. It was comfortable and got around 55mpg. Please don't write me to ask about the reserve. If you are serious about the bike, just put in a bid for the maximum you are willing to spend. You'll instantly know whether it is more than you want to pay, and eBay will automatically put in the minimum amount for you. It will save both you and myself time. If someone else bids, they will automatically match the other bid so you don't have to watch it. It keeps you from over-bidding, and also keeps you from having to watch it constantly. If you try to wait for the last second, it also means you'll lose since the high bid is *always* less than it shows (eBay lowers the bid to just above the next-highest bidder, and only adds more if someone new bids). I've seen a lot of people bid in the last second and still lose . . . but at least it ups the final price for me. :) I have a 100% satisfaction rating selling on eBay, plus eBay has a lemon coverage and will refund your money if something goes wrong in an auto auction . . . so you can bid with complete confidence in both myself and eBay. I will deliver the bike for free (once it is paid for) up to 50 miles from Daytona beach. Anything over that and you will need to arrange transportation, or you can pay me to transport it if it isn't too far. You must put down a $500 deposit at the end of the auction and pay within 3 days in full (you don't have to pick up the bike in three days, but it must be paid for). And before you ask (I can't believe how many people have asked me in the past), I don't do financing. I'm not a dealer, just someone trying to help a friend sell their bike. :) If you have any questions not answered here (or if you want to see the bike in person), please feel free to send me a message. I also have it for sale locally, and reserve the right to cancel the auction if it sells before the auction ends.
