Vehicle Detail
I have owned this 1995 Toyota Previa SC Alltrac for almost 6 years. It needs a headgasket replacement, I was told by my mechanic, Bearden Automotive, in Austin Texas. It will start up and can be driven, but it feels rough and there is white smoke(steam) coming out of the exhaust. It is a rare all-wheel drive alltrac model. It has a four speed automatic and power windows, locks, AC, power mirrors, and cruise control that all work. This was an expensive and loaded model when new(in 1995) and sold for over 40,000 dollars. It currently has inspection and registration in Austin Texas(Travis county) until 3/19. It has a good title in my name. It was my daily driver until the headgasket issue about a month ago. The van currently has 273,000 miles. I have owned it since just over 228,000 miles. My main mechanic in Austin, Bearden Automotive, had a Previa that they kept running to almost 500,000 miles, so I think this one has a lot of life left. Here's a list of the work that has been done to the van since I bought it: I just had a brand new AC compressor, dryer, and system recharge put in at 271,035 miles using a brand new Nippon Denso OEM compressor at Bearden. It cost $805 not including the cost of the compressor, which was $220. I had the front windows and windshield tinted by Suntint in Austin in March 2018 for $263, with a lifetime warranty. The original factory tint on the back windows is still in great shape. New KYB front struts were installed at 265,370 miles by Brake Check in Austin. Front and rear rotors and pads were replaced by Brake Check at 259,809 miles, with lifetime replacement warranty on the pads. The tires are Toyo Extensa, which were replaced two years ago at 256,990 miles and in great shape. New front axles/cv boots installed at 234,697 miles. New rear KYB shocks were installed at 228,668. I've had regular oil changes done to the vehicle. I have all the receipts for these repairs and will include them with purchase. I also have some receipts from the previous owners before I bought the van at around 228,000 miles. I bought this van in Oregon where it spent most of its life. It was originally purchased in Montana. After I bought the car I had a tow hitch and trailer wiring harness installed by UHaul. I also had a JVC compact disc player/radio with USB input(for smartphones) installed, which works great. I do have the middle bench seat which I'll include if I can sell this Previa for $1499. I'm using it as a couch in my house(under a cover to keep it nice), so I would be out a couch if I included it. I really can't think of a more comfortable couch. There is some body damage on the side of the sliding door, but it still opens and closes fine and the lock works fine for it. I was told when I bought the car that this is the reason for the rebuilt/salvage title, which makes sense to me. The mirror on the passenger's side was broken and replaced with a rectangular mirror which works fine and passes inspection. I had a low speed fender bender and had to have the front driver's fender replaced. There are various other dings on the car, and the clearcoat is peeling. Windows and windshield are good with no cracks. The bracket for the side window on the sliding door broke, but it has been repaired with epoxy. This window and two of the other back windows can pop out for ventilation. The rear wiper works, but is missing the blade assembly. There is some wear on the driver's side seat bolster, but it's still very comfortable. The passenger's seat is in good shape. Please see photos of the interior for details. This has been a great daily driver and all around vehicle for me, and a much more affordable(and better) alternative to a VW Vanagon Synchro. You can take it camping, skiing, or just drive to work with it. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. I can either sell it locally or have buyer arrange shipping, but only after the payment has cleared my bank. I've been selling on Ebay since 2001 and have 100% positive feedback, so buy with confidence.
