Transmission takes a couple of seconds to switch gears. **All-Season tires= Falken Ziex ZE912, 195/65R15 -- like new with less than 20K miles on them, tires rated for about another 45k miles. Never used spare in the trunk. **Repairs performed: 1)--Catalytic converter, fuel pump, camshaft adjuster, distribution box & alternator, spark plugs coil packs and ignition wires, thermostat, and coolant temperature sensor all replaced. 2)--Brake rotors resurfaced and pads replaced about 3 years ago. 3)--Recently installed new $200 battery. ***All repair records on hand*** **Minor repairs recommended: 1)--Almost 10k miles overdue for timing belt service. 2)--Dealer-recommended: Replace secondary air injection pump mounts, replace strut mounts & bearings. 3)--Gas tank door release button has been pushed inside door frame, so door must be opened manually to refuel. See picture. 3)--Replace alternator wire. Wire runs from fuse box to alternator. See picture. Many of VW series (MK4) have had this issue of too much resistance on the stock alternator wire, creating too much heat leading to a melting connection at the fuse box. Runs fine for now, but buyer should know this should be done. *For the DIY folks, a permanent fix would be replacing with a higher quality than stock alternator wire, like those found here for MK4's: http://innovativewiring.com/?page_id=161 ________________________________________________________________________________ ###COSMETICS### **Exterior: --Missing driver's side door chrome trim, some paint fading on rear passenger side door. --The usual scratches and/or dings which are to be expected on a car of this year. **Interior: --Only driver's side heated seat works. --Needs floor mats--rear roof upholstery beginning to sag.--2 burn holes in upholstery above driver door--arm-rest needs replacement. ________________________________________________________________________________ Vehicle sold AS-IS by private owner.
