Vehicle Detail
1953 Chevy Bel Air 2 door Sedan, 235 inline six w/ fenton headers, 2 speed powerglide transmission, 12v conversion, 12v wiper motor, newer paint, newer interior, seat belts, new glass, new glass rubber, stainless rain guards over side glass, excellent tires with about 500 miles on them, 15" '54 Chevy steel wheels, 15" Sunburst hub caps, 70" functional lakes pipes, lowered in the rear w/ 3" blocks. This car runs and drives very well. Can be used as a daily driver. The motor/trans were rebuilt 2 owners ago in 2004 and was only driven once or twice every couple of months. No knocks, smoke or funny sounds. The rear main has a small leak from me driving the car more than the previous owners. I'm assuming it's the rope style seal that can be replaced with a modern style seal. Body:The car is a rust free car. Floors, fenders, rockers, trunk are all very solid. It was painted the factory colors in the early 2000's and looks very nice. It has a few small chips here and there from being driven. There are a few small dings that are too small/minor to show up in the pictures. Mainly on the top of the roof and tops of front fenders (not sure what from). 90% of the chrome has been re done except the grill. Has painted fender skirts w/ clips that need installed. Interior:It has newer interior with no rips, tears or stains, new headliner, newer carpet kit. All window garnishes are chrome plated. It is missing the small pieces that connect the right and left sides both upper/lower on the front and rear. Has an aftermarket stereo and single speaker that works but is not correct for this car. Heater controls work as do the fresh air vents. I installed color matched seat belts, 2 front/ 3 rear. This is a great car for someone to drive and show at the same time. It still has areas that could use upgrading to your desired taste. If I could keep it, I wanted to get a paintless guy to tap out the dings, get an OEM sun visor above the windshield, install the skirts and clips, All new wiring head to tail (not needed but is how I like my 12v cars done), wide whites, power disk brakes, and I would be stoked. I'm only selling the car to help finance the relocation of a small business I own. The car is worth what I'm asking. I won't give it away. Serious buyers/bidders only. Please ask questions. I'll do my best to answer them. On Jul-09-18 at 17:27:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Not sure why there is bold print but to be clear, the description of new wiring, adding a visor, putting on the skirts, knocking out the dents, etc are things I would do if I could keep it. These are not things that have been done to the car. Please ask any questions if you are unsure of something or need to know something I may have forgot.
