1987 Honda Goldwing Aspencade GL1200 with 30,272 original miles. Starts and runs great, fully registered and inspected in my name with clear blue Texas title. I am the third owner. The bike was originally purchased in Reno, NV by a private pilot who rode it very little. Once he retired he moved to east Texas, he sold the bike to a neighbor who rode it a few thousand miles and sold it to me. I originally bought the bike for my Dad who rode quite a bite back in the 80s but hadn’t ridden much since the early 90s. The goldwing ended up being a little too heavy and he didn’t ride it as much as we thought. Since I have owned it, we had new dunlop tires installed last year with less than a 1,500 miles on them. I’ve flushed both front and rear brake fluid and rebuilt rear master cylinder. The starter button assembly wasn’t working consistently so I took it apart and cleaned all the contacts and it works perfectly now. And of course routine oil & filter changes. It will start immediately and will idle just fine with no choke after a few minutes warm up. It rides very well and the original air suspension adjustment works great. 5-Speed shaft drive is very smooth and shift perfectly. All original features and options work fine to the best of my knowledge. I have never used the CB radio, or the hardwired intercom system. But I do have both HJC helmets that came with the bike originally that have the intercoms built in. Overall the bike is in excellent condition for its age. It’s now 31 year old and has its normal wear and tear. There are two small tears in the seats, one is on the right seam of the driver seat and the other is on the top seam of the passenger back rest. I have been told that it can be repaired with vinyl glue, however I have not tried it myself. You will be hard pressed to find a better condition goldwing in this year range. The bike is ready to ride.
