BRIEF DESCRIPTION: TOTAL SURVIVOR and by that I mean its not been overly modded and solid 40+ yr old Az car. The car has alot the original owners manual with info showing where it was originally bought (here in Tucson) It also has some maintance records documentation inside with things done for the first 5 yrs. This car is a SOLID rust and 95% rot free AZ CAR. It has heat and sun damage from the AZ sun of course but sure beats rust buckets some people are trying to sell. Check out the pics and more info below...thanks DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, apparently some people who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules. So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid. Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!! These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition that are still affordable to most buyers. DRIVETRAIN: very complete and original under the bonnet. Motor is a 1.8L boxer engine. I think it may be matching #s. Check the pics too. If you have questions about the #s etc on the block, lmk. Trans and clutch feel great. The gas tank has a few gallons of 105 race fuel and because it wasnt driveng alot in the last 5 yrs. But being race gas is fine, last longer in the tank. The car runs great and starts all the time when I go to take it for a spin. Battery is a little old sometimes needs a quick charge after sitting a few weeks.INTERIOR: take a look, Az has done a great job drying out all the rubber weatherstripping european cars were never designed for Az climate. Factory radio in dash. Gauges all seem to work okay. The car has a push button between the seats to use to start the car. Click the key into the ON position and push the button, it fires right up all the time. In several of the pics you can see where we pulled up the carpet to show you how amazing the floors are in too. Door panels come with the car, but they are pretty worn and not installed. Fiberglass Targa top comes with the car but is cracked near the LF latch area. See pics.EXTERIOR: the body pretty straight for its age. Originally the car was SILVER, about 25 yrs ago it was painted RED and you can see evidence of that on the dr side still and its patina. The pass side we started sanding off the top layer of paint. Not sure when the hood and trunk were painted black. Doors are fine but its hard to open the pass door, prob due to the release rod. the outter handles dont work or are not connected, Ive been opening the dr door from the inside. Glass all looks good and original. Headlights pop up and work ...sometimes, possibly a bad switch or connection. This car was originally bought here in Tucson from the Porsche dealer on Speedway, and its never left the desert. The car is amazingly solid, even around the battery area. Some of the outter lenses are mia or need replacing. Its not a restored car, but wouldnt take much to make it great again. Luckily too, pretty much all the parts you need are easily available for these cars online. SUSPENSION: the suspension looks normal and very original for its age. Its not restored, but probably be okay with a little resto on the bushings etc. Brakes recently had some work done to them and they work well too. I think the rear shocks are Koni not sure about the fronts. Tires in nice shape too. Period correct alloy wheels are a nice touch. Dont see a spare tire/wheel. Check out ALL the pics below ----->it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics. There you have it, probably The BEST represented PORSCHE cars ON ONLINE FOR SALE RIGHT NOW. Shows you all the good as well as any bad. We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our vehicles. People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end. Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days speaks volumes. Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers. Email us with ANY questions before you bid please Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. We show you as much feasibly possible via pics. Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you. If they cant take the time to take pics of areas under the car they are selling, maybe its not the best car to buy online. With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect until you get it home. Meanwhile, we go over our cars ALL OVER with great pics to help making your buying decision easier, along with ANY other questions you may have. Email me for a estimate on shipping if need be. AZ TITLE IN HAND Keep in mind, this is not a restored car !! CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 14 days of auctions END ! we can no longer store cars for anyone !! Unless other arrangements are made before auction ends. Can help with shipping outside the USA too if you need help. This baby will easily drive onto a car hauler etc. No problem helping it to the docks if you are shipping overseas . On May-14-18 at 12:48:19 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: after reviewing the pics we were actually able to finda small amt of rust thru in a corner of the car. I cant tell exactly whatpart of the car it is, but its there and you can see the pics. But still for a 914 this old, it still has a super solid body, rockers..doors etc. And its an AC car ta-boot !! Ive seen rusty car not driving sell for close to what our reserve is.And if we dont sell it, its fine with me, Ill keep it a while.its fun to ownand their prices are on the riSE thats for sure !!
