Vehicle Detail
NO ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS .This is an original 1970 mach 1 mustang fastback . Well optioned with the "M" code 351 C 4 V with optional manual 4 speed transmsiion and a factory Trac-Loc differential . Has factory original rear spoiler , AM radio , factory in-dash tachometer , and quick ratio power steering , plus all the standard mach 1 applications such as hood scoop with turn signal indicators , rim blow steering , rocker panel molding with mach 1 identification , center console , sport mirrors , sport lamps , etc . This is NOT a barn find , NOT a garage find , NOT restored , just a well preserved original car that was used for the last 48 years . I purchased this car at the beginning of this year back in February from the second owner since 1986 .It was originally sold in PA then to an owner in south NJ .I have original paperwork supporting both . It is a nice driver , was represented to me as an original paint car but I can see where some paint work was done if not whole car but owner stated to me since 1986 never touched and looks to be original but is not . Interior is original , looks clean , the car had two aftermarket gauges for temp and oil ( I will include them ) in the console but had them removed . It had aftermarket valve covers as well , Boss 351 finned aluminum I also had removed ( I prefer the stock look ) and will be included as well . It runs and drives very well . If you ever had one like I did back in the early 80's it will feel the same as it did back then . The car appears today as it did back in 1986 so I will presume the sport slats are original FORD equipment . The chin spoiler looks like an original but honestly I did not check or would know how to tell . The magnums are NOT original but are newer with new tires . The gentleman I purchased the car from had the original selling ad from a NJ auto trader with this car on the cover . Body looks great and not touched , paint is ok and has what everybody like to call patina , it is old and faded in spots , chipped in others . There is nothing missing on the car . I had the carpets replaced and the shop who preformed the service advised me that the drivers side floor pan is rusty and should be replaced but when I looked at the underside you cant really see that . Just a typical original floor pan not patched or replaced , the installer also advised me that the original build sheet was in tack and removed it for me , I have it in almost perfect shape . Trunk is original and has a small quarter size hole by where the spare tire goes . All the lights , horn , wipers , speedometer , tachometer , idiot lights , all working . The radio does not work . Overall a very nice car , I simply leave it outside and have no garage for it , although I love this car I actually like the big body 1971-1972 mach more and have recently purchased one. I can be reached @ 516-467-6890 for any further information .This is a no reserve auction , if you would like to make an offer then please do , do not ask me what I want for it .
