Beautiful looking, running, and driving hot rod with Power Steering, Power Brakes, 4 speed automatic (3 speed with OD), V-8 power, and Air Conditioning. High quality older build, well sorted out and extremely well built with late model Mustang front clip with coil springs perfectly grafted to the original frame, and rack and pinion steering. 302 V-8 runs and starts excellent thanks to a modern carburetor with a perfectly set electric choke. Starts right up hot or cold, runs smooth and strong, never gets hot. 9” 3:23 Ford rear, bulletproof. Drive it anywhere, I can’t stress enough how well this car runs and drives. Brand new wheels and front tires. Glass is flawless. Beautiful and comfy custom interior (beautiful headliner too) in a super SOLID, straight car. Full dual exhaust with iron manifolds so no leaks and a really nice mellow hotrod tone. Roomy will seat 5 and a nice tight cabin with new seals so it’s not all drafty and whistley. Very pleasant and quiet inside with the windows up - very unusual for a custom in my experience. Car has a radio in the glovebox and it works but its old... cassette haha. Easy to upgrade. Minor issues: driver’s window regulator or handle skips. You can get the window up and down but it needs help. No keys for doors. Trunk “key” is a bit clunky but it works. Cowl flap handle came off one day and I can’t get in there to fix it (back issue) but it stays closed and you’ve got A/c to get cool! The How, What, Why, Where: I was in California and I saw the dusty roof of this car in a garage, went and knocked on the door. The widow of the man who loved and built this car sold it to me and told me how her husband spent over $40000 and three years on a complete teardown and rebuild of everything. 15 coats of hand-rubbed lacquer. It had been sitting for some time so I drained out the fuel, put in a new battery and it fired right up. This car was LOVED and built right with no budget or hurry and it shows. I would estimate less than 5,000 miles on the build. My daughter and I have enjoyed it for some time but I just bought a new toy and it's time for this one to go!
