Vehicle Detail
This is the version of the S1000RR you can tour comfortably on. With the tall seat and upright riding position, you won't get fatigued after 6 or 7 hours. This is my second BMW motorcycle, what strikes me most is how well they're engineered. Very rider friendly, unlike the Ducati Multistrada I used to have where you had to scroll through the menu just to turn on the heated grips. With the S1000XR, there's a button on the handlebars, ready when ever you need them on. The headlight has incredible lamination at night, really handy when you get older and your night vision isn't what it used to be (LOL). The first owner added some LED lights on back when you apply the brakes, with the idea it helps with cagers not running into the back of you. I didn't think I would use the shift assist, but after getting used to it, I've really come to like it, and use it all the time. The windscreen is a nice dark tinted, adjustable piece. I think it was an add-on, standard is clear. I use the short position since I'm 5-10, but it can extend up if you're taller. Sport touring bikes I've owned include Buell S2T, BMW R1100S, Ducati ST4S, Ducati Multistrada, this is by far the most comfortable, quickest, best handling of the ones I've owned. I've just decided to go back to something more in the vein of the Ducati ST4S since I don't plan any multi-day trips in the next couple of years. Well equipped, I think it has almost every option you could order. Dynamic ESA Shift Assist Ride Modes Pro Saddle Bags GPS Full payment within 7 days of auction close, please. thanks for looking.
