Vehicle Detail

The lowest mileage 2005 XKR in North America, at 29,576 miles! The 1999 to 2006 Jaguar XK8 cars have entered into the Jaguar Heritage. One of the rarest of all is the XKR Coupe. There are approximately 6 Convertibles to every 1 XKR coupe produced. The XKR coupe is extremely rare (less than 10,000 production worldwide), and a future collectible/classic. This one is the same color combination as on all 2005/2006 Jaguar XKR brochures (photo 1-4 is Jaguar Heritage XKR photos... the rest are this car). As a Jaguar enthusiast, I looked for the right one for over 3 years before I bought this car. I wanted a good color combination, extremely low mileage, good history from a single owner, and it had to be the 2005 or 2006 COUPE!!! There are reasons for this: 2005-2006 are the last of the XKR in the XK8 collection, and like the XJS, the last years are the best. The 2003 and up have the 6 speed automatic transmission that has been shown to have less issues than the 5 speed. The 2003 to 2006 have revised supercharger with higher output (390 hp vs 370 hp in 2000-2002), the timing chain tensioner is steel as opposed to the problematic plastic ones of earlier models, they also have revised thermostat housing (again, not plastic) and throttle bodies. Coupes have a distinctive styling, and do not have the hydraulic hose system problem of the convertibles. Not to mention that the grill, front air dam, the side skirts and rear ground effects are more 'natural' and stylish. It gives all the looks of an Aston Martin DB7, without the hassle and expense. Options include: wood steering wheel (rare), the upgraded BBS Detroit 20" wheels, newer tires, larger brakes, drilled/slotted rotors, nav, p steering, pw, pdl, power trunk, power seats, 2 remotes, chrome pedals, XKR emblems, 390hp supercharged engine (one of Jaguar's most reliable engines), 6 speed auto trans with Jaguar J-gate shifter, Jaguar security system, and amazing cool factor!!! I have the original documentation for the car as well. This car has immaculate interior, paint, and mechanical. I have kept the service up to date at world famous 'British Auto' here in Scottsdale, AZ. In the past year, I have serviced the A/C, changed all belts, some coolant hoses, replaced the transmission pan and sending unit, replaced the oil pan, front shocks replaced, front shock tower mounts were changed to polyurethane, the sway bar bushings were replace with polyurethane, as well as some of the suspension bushings replaced with polyurethane. Otherwise, the car is unmodified, has never had upgraded tensioner pulleys or ECU work done. It still retains the stock intake air cleaner. The car handles immaculately, drives like a dream, corners like on rails. There are virtually no dents, scratches or other blemishes. There are a few (very, very few) scratches to the bottom side of the front air dam. They are not noticeable unless laying on the pavement. Paint is in remarkable condition for its age. ***The best part is that the wheels do not have curb marks. The optional BBS made, 20" Detroit wheels have 'trim rings' that are very, very expensive to replace if damaged. The ones on this car are in exceptional condition. As it is not a new car, there are a couple of minor issues: the cruise control does not function... but I never use it, and have not missed having it. I like to 'drive' this car, and love the feel of the pedals. Also, the system has navigation in the dash, but the screen is not as clear as I would like it to be. It may be just a function of the age of the system. It functions fine. Here is your chance to get an extremely rare, 2 owner car with excellent service history and extremely clean, accident-free history, for 1/4 of the original purchase price!
