1973 VW Thing in excellent condition. This is a well loved VW Thing. Low hours/miles on a rebuilt engine. Recent rebuild on carburetor. 4 Speed manual. New tires, brakes, and clutch recently. Runs great and starts right up, daily driver, runs great, and is super fun. Great condition overall. Top is in good shape, but not new. Seat covers are fine but not new either. Body is straight and rust free. Super fun car to drive and run around town. Originally a So Cal car, located in Austin the last 15 years. Speedo, gas gauge, oil gauge, and odometer work. Everything else in the car works perfectly. The car was completely restored approximately 15 years ago and it was kept in a garage until very recently, and covered since then. The car runs perfectly and is a daily driver. Surface rust only, no rot on under carriage. The floor boards have some surface rust, but it is cosmetic, the floor is completely intact and sturdy. The car has a short when you put on the blinker I haven't determined where that short is coming from, it's not that big of a deal and the turn signal does work but once in awhile it burns the fuse out.
