We are the original owners of this great motorcycle. About 100 miles ago, an Ohlins Dakar rear shock ($900) was installed for additional height and weight capacity, and the front forks were changed for a full height set ($350) along with Racetech fork springs ($240) and Gold Valve Emulators ($150) were installed too for the intention of touring. Of course the seals and fluids were changed out for premium products too with synthetic oil. New tires are Continental Twinduro TKC80 and are super comfortable on the road. Wide knobs on the tread give added stability on the highway and keep them quiet too. Also there are new Michelin Ultra Heavy Duty Inner Tubes to provide added safety and peace of mind on road or gravel. Between luggage and riding gear additional suspension comfort and capability is a great help. The new suspension soaks up the bumpiest of highways and uneven gravel roads too and it rides very smoothly. The upgrades were definitely worth the effort. The trip that I had in mind for the bike won't be happening now and so it is time to sell this bike to somebody that will actually ride it. As you can see from the mileage it has spent a great amount of time sitting and stored. Always serviced twice per year with BMW oil and filters and other fluids it has been kept in great condition. A new battery was installed less than a year ago and has been on a battery tender throughout the winter storage. It starts right up no problem. With only the 3851 miles it sounds like a new bike...because it practically is. The title is clear and we recently had to install a new speedo assembly since the original odometer failed. This is a widely known issue with these parts and can be found on various websites describing how the display turns to dashes and has no stored record of the miles. I have uploaded the receipt from BMW last week for $600 for a new dash assembly to provide the new owner with a legitimate speedo, odometer and display that is brand new. I will include the damaged unit as physical proof should you wish to test it yourself. I will be signing the title and entering the 3851 miles. This is a really nice bike that is ready to be ridden. We are located an hour from Detroit Airport (DTW) or 25 mins from Flint (FNT) should a fly & ride home be your goal. The fluids are fresh, the tank is filled with gas, new tires and ready to ride.
