I have owned this car since new. I bought the car new on March 8, 2003 from Mercedes Benz of Memphis. It has had every maintenance suggested by Mercedes since new. It has an extensive CarFax record and I have every receipt of the service work performed on the car since new (I have a 3 ring folder with the service receipts). I have the original window sticker. The main weakness of this model, C230, was the transmission was cooled through the radiator and the radiator would develop a leak allowing water to get in the transmission fluid causing the transmission to slip. This problem was solved on June 25, 2013 at 75,817 miles on the odometer. I had the old radiator and the old transmission replaced with a new Mercedes OEM radiator and a new Mercedes OEM transmission. This was done at a Mercedes Benz dealer. This alone cost $5,729.70. New tires were placed on the car at 101,885 miles; there is good tread remaining. The most recent service was performed in November/December 2017. The oil was changed, anti-freeze flushed, new cabin air filter, new front and rear brake rotors and brake pads and both front upper control arms were replaced, and a 4 wheel alignment was performed. This cost over $1,000.00. I have an extra set of wheels with snow tires mounted that you can have if you want them. The car fax will show a minor accident on May 14, 2014. A driver in the next lane pulled over into my lane causing a minor dent on the passenger side. This was professionally repaired. I have taken very good care of this car and it should have many more miles of driving pleasure. The 1.8 Litre Kompressor engine produces 189 HP with 192 lb-ft of torque. It has a close ratio automatic transmission delivering 23 city mpg and 32 highway mpg. The sunroof and CD changer are not working. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
