I AM SELLING MY TRUSTY OLD TAHOE. I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK FOR 10 YEARS AND PUT ABOUT 80,000 MILES ON IT. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A ROCK, AND ONLY LET ME DOWN ONCE WHEN A VALVE BROKE WHILE COMING HOME ON I-80.I HAD THE ENGINE REPLACED BY A JASPER REBUILT MOTOR THAT COST ME ABOUT $2000 FOR THE TOTAL JOB. THAT WAS ONLY A FEW YEARS AND ABOUT 15,000 MILES AGO. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTOS, THERE IS HARDLY ANY RUST ON IT AND THE BODY IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. HOWEVER, THE CLEARCOAT ON THE PAINT IS PEELING IN SEVERAL PLACES AND THE INTERIOR IS SHOWING OBVIOUS SIGNS OF USE I BOUGHT A NEWER TAHOE LAST YEAR, SO THIS ONE IS NEVER DRIVEN ANYMORE, AND THAT's WHY I'M LETTING IT GO. No severe rust issues, NO Accident damage (other than normal parking lot dings and scratches) The interior is showing signs of heavy use. some stains on upholstery, some damaged or missing plastic panels on the dashboard, Cosmetically, the truck is obviously a work truck, not a show truck. There was a Jasper replacement engine installed in the truck about 15,000 milles ago. The shop that did the installation did not set something about the alternator timing so that makes a check engine light come on. My local shop told me its relatively simple to set this up, however its no longer of interest to me since I got a newer truck. The check engine light DOES NOT AFFECT HOW IT RUNS. The truck starts and runs great. It has had recent service work done on the brakes and has the transmission fluid replaced at regular intervals. THIS IS A GREAT TOW VEHICLE, or it could be set up with a Snow Plow, although I have never used it that way.On Apr-24-18 at 13:10:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Some late breaking news...I added photos which show under the rocker panels of the truck..so you can see how clean it is for it's age. Also added a few shots of the motor ..it's all stock, no mods except for a dual battery. Also added photo showing the new headlights. And a photo showing the view inside with the seats folded. It has the rare sought after "barn door" setup. Also want to point out that the reason the steering column clamshell cover is not showing on the photos is because I lost a couple of screws when I replaced the combo switch with a new one a few years ago and I just never bothered to get new screws..the clamshell cover IS inside the truck and you can reinstall it if you want. It does not affect the operation of any controls and everything around the steering column works fine.Ladtly...
